溜溜的手机响了，溜溜拿出手机，一看，是其他志愿者打来的。“喂，干什么呀？”电话里说：“溜溜，你赶快来帮忙啊！世园会吉祥物长和花吵起了架，就在水池边。”溜溜刚想问：你们在哪里？对方却挂断了电话。
事情是这样的：世界园艺博览会在西安开幕，溜溜是一百位志愿者之一。溜溜按时赶往会场，却发现其他的志愿者一个都没有来，连人影都没见着。
溜溜来到水池边，了解了吵架的原因。原来花已经好几天没喝水了，它恳求世园会吉祥物长给它一点水喝，但吉祥物长却不理睬他，就遭到了花的斥责，所以两人就吵起架来。这时，旁边的一个非洲小男孩拉了拉溜溜的衣角，说：“大哥哥，我也是志愿者之一，他们已经吵了很久了，你快劝劝他们！”非洲小男孩头上的一顶漂亮的遮阳帽也发话了：“是啊！溜溜你快去劝劝他们，不然这次博览会就泡汤了。”溜溜赶忙跑过去劝说，终于，在溜溜的劝说下，两人又和好如初了。
终于找到了其他志愿者了，溜溜又投入服务中，干得更卖力了。椅子被擦得一尘不染了，大树长得更壮了……溜溜也快乐了。
溜溜跑出世园，大喊：“原来快乐如此简单！”

First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together.
