作为一名面临新课程改革的英语教师，为了更好地跟上课改的潮流，适应新的教学改革，要不断更新自己的教学理念，提高自己的教育教学水平。
近期认真研读了《初中英语新课标》一书后，深有感触，我知道了要防止强调模仿、记硬背、机械操练的教学倾向，重视科学地设计教学过程，努力创设真实的问题情境，营造启动学生思维的教学环境，为学生提供丰富的学习资源，帮助学生通过各种渠道获取知识，加速知识的内化过程，使他们能够在听、说、读、写等语言交际活动中灵活运用知识，变语言知识为英语交际的工具。所以从根本上改变面貌学习方式，保证学生自主性、探究性的学习，已成为新课程改革的突破口。而教师教学行为的变化和学生学习方式的改变也被视为新课程改革是否成功的标志。因此，在目前状况下，积极倡导初中英语有意义学习的思想，深刻领会有意义学习的概念、一般特征和实施条件，对于引发初中学生英语学习方式的革新、教师教学方式的改变，进而推进基础教育向纵深发展有着深远的现实意义。
依据意义学习的基本理论，初中英语的有意义学习应具有以下四个特征：
1、学习具有个人参与的性质，即要把整个人的认知和情感都投入到学习活动之中。
2、学习是自我发起的，学习者由于内在的愿望而主动去探索、发现和了解事件的意义。
3、学习是渗透性的。它会使学生的行为、态度，乃至个性都发生变化。
4、学习是由学生自我评价的。学生最清楚某种学习的方式是否满足自己的需要，是否有助于得到他想要的东西，是否弄明白了自己原先不甚清楚的知识。
为了帮助学生开展有意义学习，促成学生自我发展和自我实现，本学期在初中英语教学中我从以下几个方面做了尝试。

Time flies like an arrow before we realize it .It is known that nothing is more precious than time. The good old proverb "time is money" reminds us that time is valuable. When time goes by, it will never return. However, it is a pity that some people don't make full use of their time .They spend a lot of time in sleeping, chatting playing computer games or other unmeaning matters. . They don't realize that wasting time is actually equal to killing themselves. They always regret not having made great achievements. One of the reasons may be they do not make good use of time. Therefore, in order to be successful, they should first get into the habit of being on time. It’s a sign of cherishing time. Don't put off what can be done today until tomorrow. Being lazy will eventually lead to failure. Don't wait, because you don't know how long it will take when you put off your plan.
The more we are aware of the significance of this famous saying, the more benefits we will get in study or job.

刚上小学的时候，我总认为学习是为了爸爸、妈妈。上课常常不认真听讲；作业任务观念，总是马马虎虎完成，甚至经常会有逃学的念头，认为学习简直就是虚度光阴，不如天天玩来得痛快。后来，在老师的教育下，学到的东西越来越多，知识就越来越丰富，对学习也就越来越感兴趣，也越来越觉得时间的宝贵，明白学习的重要性。正如俗话所说：时间给勤奋者留下智慧和力量，给懒惰者留下空虚和懊悔。
我读过这样一个故事，宋朝有个人，名叫陈正之。他患有先天性智力发育不良症，看上去呆头呆脑，记性也很不好。陈正之进学堂后，老师教大家一篇简短易学的`文章，其他同学很快就学会了，而他花了九牛二虎之力也只能张冠李戴，勉勉强强地读出来。因此，陈正之常被同学们讥笑，被老师训斥。可陈正之并不灰心，想出了一个以勤补拙的好办法。学习时，别人读一遍，他就读3遍、4遍，9遍、10便；别人用一个时辰读书，他就用上几个时辰埋头苦读，坚持一句一句地读，一字一字地记，从不间断。日复一日，年复一年，陈正之坚持不懈地努力，养成了锲而不舍的好习惯。终于成为我国宋朝一位著名的博学之士。
还有这么一个故事：南北朝时，济阳考城有位学子叫江淹，人称江郎。他出身贫苦，自幼立下大志，要发愤读书，改换门庭。江郎一方面挖野菜养活母亲和自己，一方面刻苦攻读。他的笔头竟然像有神力驱使般，写出一手好文章来，震惊了四方。齐国君王发现了这个奇才，先后有高帝和武帝都重用江淹，让他持续做了多年光禄大夫。做高官后，江淹不再刻苦读书，忘记了当年的贫苦，更不接触黎民百姓，沉迷于富裕的官宦生活。逆水行舟不进则退，他不仅官做不好，连文章也变得空洞乏味，愈来愈糟。
读了这两篇故事后，我明白了这样一个道理：就算你是一个最聪明的人，但如果不勤奋学习终究还会一无是处；就算你不是很聪明，只要努力学习，一样会有不一般的收获。
鲁迅先生说过：伟大的成绩和辛勤劳动是成正比例的，有一份劳动就有一份收获，日积月累，从少到多，奇迹就有可能创造出来。
是啊！业精于勤，荒于嬉；行成于思，毁于随。我们正应该向古人陈正之学习，尽自己的能力去学习，不偷懒。而不能像江郎那样骄傲自满，终至才尽。
我们所处的时代，虽然和古人大不一样了，但是古人那种勤奋好学的精神仍是值得我们学习的。
时间老人是公正无私的，赋予每人每天都是24小时。把握时间，奋力进取者，时间将无私地帮助你超越岁月；浪费时间、虚度光阴者，只能吞下失败的苦果。
同学们，让我们和时光赛跑，利用每分每秒学习，长大后为了祖国的繁荣昌盛贡献出自己的一份力量吧！

俗话说：“良好的开端是成功的一半”。上课也一样。教师的循循诱导，能让学生产生强烈的求知欲和好奇心，从而更积极主动地参加课堂教学，为整节课的成功作准备。可以采用以下几种导入：⒈歌曲导入。⒉设置悬念。当然导入很多，教学中不能单一的用一种导入，也许这种导入刚开始学生觉得很有劲，但天天用学生就会厌倦了。所以教师设计时要多多新颖，多多改变，尽量多样性。

Take your time
For thousands of years, animals have trodden a slow path, their spirits together with the body. But our human being's transportation is too fast. The body moves but the soul is left behind. We try to free ourselves in convenience, but we only imprison the soul. Since we invented how to count hours, we do everything to short the time, short the deadline. But the time saved can't be shorten. Nowadays, we spend lots of time staying in front of a TV just changing the channels, while we have no time to talk with a good friend or play with our family. We have plenty of time to search old news on the internet, while we hardly think about our life. In the end, the only thing apparent is our loneliness.
Take your time, please. Try to follow the natural steps and have your own clock. Try to share your time with everybody you love, share your mind, your happiness and sadness. Try to read the world we live in, do not only catch a quick glimpse at the society.Someday, when we know how to spend every second in our life, we can then live our own life.
