在远处，你只能闻到花香，却不能看见花朵。走近了，你会发现，大多数桂花都长在树叶下，黄白色的桂花分成四个花瓣向外伸展，小小的，像绽放的焰火，只不过，这个“焰火”却是向着大地方向的。桂花散发出阵阵清香，不仅路过的人会停下来闻它的香味，而且飞过的鸟儿也会停在树枝上闻闻它的香味。一阵风吹过，桂花摇动起来，仿佛在说：“你说我美丽不美丽?”
回家后，我查了资料，知道了桂花不仅美丽，还有许多用途呢。它可以入药，有化痰、止咳、生津等功效，还可以用于食品、化妆品的生产，能制成桂花糕、糖果等，还可以酿酒.
想不到这小小的桂花，竟有这么大的用途,它为祖国妈妈作贡献。而我们就像桂花，也要为祖国做出贡献!

金秋十月，桂花飘香……
我们的校园里就有几棵桂花树。秋风徐徐，一进校门，便可闻到桂花那甜甜的香味，顿觉心旷神怡。在香味的指引下，我看到桂花树的身影。远远望去，桂花树像一顶绿色花边帽，骄阳似火时，躲到这顶“花帽子”底下，一定很凉快。

最引人注目的，还是桂花姑娘了，她们有的非常害羞，像一个小宝宝躲在树叶妈妈的怀抱里；有的却很大胆，昂首挺胸地站在枝头，像是在炫耀自己的芳香；有的喜欢群体生活，找了几个伙伴之后，抱在一起，好像在说“我们永远都是好朋友”的悄悄话呢；有的还是花蕾，娇嫩得像刚出生的婴儿一样躺在摇篮里，做美梦呢……
桂花不仅味香形美，而且用处很多。
桂花可以泡茶，也可以做桂花蜜，还可以做多种桂花口味的食物，如桂花糕、桂花汤圆……
欣赏着桂花，闻着桂花的香味，我不禁想到了一句诗：叶密千层绿，花开万点黄。
