Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December.It is a very happy day for many boys and girls .Before the term ends in some schools ,the children act a nativity or “birth” play,showing how Jesus was born in a stable.
On the twenty-fourth of December,all children are very excited.Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready.The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace ,so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in.The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents.Later that night,Father or Mother will put presents in the sock,and leave others at the side of the bed.
On Christmas morning,the children wake up very early.Some even turn on the light at two o'clock,and most of them are awake by six o'clock although it is not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.Children look for their presents,and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared.At about one o'clock in the afternoon,the Christmas dinner is brought in.The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten.Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it.The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

蓦然回首，那些与您们相处的岁月，陪伴了多少上课下课，经历了无数风风雨雨。有些事可以遗忘，而有些事是不会被岁月冲刷掉的。
老师，是您们教会了我做人，是您们告诉了我道理，是您们把青春化作了对学生的关爱……您们用粉笔谱写了一生的光荣，那布满道道印记的黑板记录着您的沧桑，那犹如母亲般慈祥的一抹笑，让人心动看着黑板发呆，不知不觉想到了赵老师您。赵老师，每当我无助时，永远都是您那公正的身影站在我前面，每次您都相信我，放心地把事交给我去办。记得一次上课，您让我回答问题，我支支吾吾地答不出来，蒙对了一部分，正当我垂头丧气之时，您投来了赞许的目光，包含着期待与信任，我顿时信心大增，完整、形象地回答了题，没有辜负您的希望。而在下课，每次出了安全事故，您总是耐心地倾听事情的经过，然后公正的指出谁错了，该怎么做才完美。您从不偏向谁，也从不包庇谁，您永远是我心中最正义的“律师”。您也曾说：“学习不是最重要的，健康胜于一切，健康是1，其他的都是0，没有这个1，其他的再好，也只是0。”可以看出您多么关心我们的健康啊!您从不自私地只考虑学生的成绩，您像妈妈样从各方面锻炼我们，教导我们，关爱我们，您如此伟大，我难道不该好好地感恩吗?
把目光移到粉笔盒上，看到那长短不一的粉笔，我又想到了陶老师您。不论在课堂上，还是在下课，甚至在业余时间……您无微不至地“照顾”着我们班上的名列最后的几位学生，在上课，您重点抽那些同学，希望他们认真听课。在下课，您给他们做题，他们不会，您就认真而耐心地为他们讲解。最令我感动的是：我们放学后，您让一些成绩差的同学留下来，辅导他们做作业，甚至还把差生带到自己家里讲课，连自己的孩子都没时间照顾。把热与青春挥洒在我们身上，从来没有怨言，有的是对我们的关心。您曾说：“我不是看重你们的成绩，而是看重你们的态度，态度决定一切，只要你们态度端正，尽力了，成绩差我也不生气。”您如此无私，难道我不该好好地感恩吗?
回忆与老师您的时光，有太多的事值得我学习、报答、感恩。在这，我要说一声：“老师，辛苦了，谢谢您们教导我，鼓励我，我感谢您!”

I would like you to know that I appreciate the help and support you gave to me when I was in junior high school. I enjoyed being taught by you immensely. You are an excellent teacher and inspired me to continue learning with an open and positive mind.
I would like to convey my heartfelt gratitude to you for teaching me what is responsibility. You helped me how to find the best place for myself and look for the personal values. I remember you gave me a book as a present of the Spring Festival. You are the first teacher who gave me a present which I was moved for a long time.
I would further say that you gave me so good memories that I wish I could go back to that time again. It was you who encouraged me to overcome obstacles. It was you who cared about my emotions.
