古代的时候，清明节就是二十四节气中的第五个节气。而非节日，清明节的前一天就是寒食节，那才就是真正的节日。而作为节气的清明节，却晚了一天，可就是他却意味着春天的到来。
清明时，气温升高，正就是春耕纯种的大好时节，故有‘清明前后，种瓜点豆’的说法。
写到那里有人会问扫墓的习俗呢?—扫墓的习俗出此刻汉代，最初的清明节仅仅只有踏青的习俗，清明代表的就是踏青的最好季节。
扫墓的出现就是因为汉朝的皇帝经常在清明节时祭拜祖先，所以老百姓们也开始在这一时节扫墓了。唐朝时，皇帝在这一节日里还发过禁令，‘禁止在清明节就是扫墓和踏青一齐进行。’因为很多人在扫墓时哭哭啼啼，踏青时有嘻嘻哈哈，朝廷觉得不严肃所以才发布的。
可就是实际上，古故人们把清明这个节气看作生命转化的节气，然而因为它意味着过去一年的结束和新的一年的开始，也意味着人和自然的交汇。
此刻的清明节，它不仅仅仅就是人们祖先和缅怀先人的节日，也就是中华民族之人认祖归宗的纽带，更就是一个远足踏青、亲近自然、维护新生的春季仪式。
