英语爱好作文初一【一】
爱好！爱好是什么？爱好疲劳一天后还念念不忘的事；爱好是见缝插针也要做一做的事……我呀，有许多爱好：玩、画画、做手工……但我最大的爱好就是：读书！
高尔基曾说过：书是人类进步的阶梯。果然如此：作文书能使我提高作文水平；手工书能使我心灵手巧；阅读书能提高我的阅读水平；历史书能使我了解中国悠久的历史……有这么多书都能使我进步，我怎能不喜欢读书呢？
如果你想了解我是如何爱上读书的？哦，是这样的：刚上一年级时，我发现班上许多同学的知识十分丰富--知道地球的两极有极昼和极夜现象；知道热带雨林里生活的各种各样的动物；知道地球上海洋的占地面积远远大于陆地……我可羡慕了，便向本班的“百科全书“--李卓然请教：“请问一下，你的知识怎会那样丰富？“他只简单地回答了七个字：“当然是多读书啦！“我听了之后，惊讶至极。好不容易盼到周末，我“命令“妈妈带我去图书大厦，一到那儿，我立刻来到儿童读物区，抱了一大堆书，坐下来，安安静静地看着，渐渐的，我发现书上的知识的确丰富多彩，天文、地理、绘画……这可是大大满足了我的求知，下定决心要把这些知识都收入囊中。
很快，我便变成了一只小“书虫“。在家中，上厕所时看书、睡觉前看书、甚至吃饭时也忍不住看两眼。在学校，那就更别提了，我更是不舍得浪费一点时间出去玩。
有一次我发烧了，妈妈带我去医院。临走的时候，我都穿好鞋了，突然想起一会儿妈妈挂号时我还能看会儿书，便脱下写作三步并作两步冲回卧室的书柜前拿出了两本《小学生作文》，这才又跑出来，穿上鞋和妈妈去医院。到了医院，妈妈去挂号，我就靠着墙看书；到了诊室门口等叫号，我就坐在椅子上看。妈妈实在忍不住了便又开始“唠叨“：“在这么黑的地方看，不要眼睛了？“我不支声，急忙站起身，来到窗户边继续看，直到医生叫我，我才依依不舍地合上书。
读书给我带来了许多乐趣：我与鲁宾逊一起在孤岛上生活；我与海伦·凯勒一起“体验黑暗人生“；我与福娃一起漫游“奥运的长河“；我与欧阳小小一起享受“快乐的假期“……我的心情也随着故事情节的变化不断变化着，时而喜，时而悲。
读书给我带来了无尽的欢乐，在此，我要大声喊一句：我-爱-读-书。

Jane Eyre is a first-person narrative of the title character, a small, plain-faced, intelligent and honest English orphan. The novel goes through five distinct stages: Jane's childhood at Gateshead, where she is abused by her aunt and cousins; her education at Lowood School, where she acquires friends and role models but also suffers privations; her time as the governess of Thornfield Manor, where she falls in love with her Byronic employer, Edward Rochester; her time with the Rivers family at Marsh's End (or Moor House and Morton, where her cold clergyman-cousin St John Rivers proposes to her; and her reunion with and marriage to her beloved Rochester at his house of Ferndean. Partly autobiographical, the novel abounds with social criticism and sinister gothic elements.
