回到这本书，拿到这本书的时候有些惊讶，惊讶为何是一个日本人写出这样一本“未来学”的书。但读过之后，也就不怎么惊讶了，作者在书中的前半部分所写的未来可能发生的事情，实际上几乎全部已经在我们的生活中发生了，正如这本书的腰封上所写的“过去未去，未来已来”。所以，这本书或许根本称不上是一本“未来学”的书，只是对已经发生的'事情做出一个陈述，然后试图找出一条我们作为个体面对这样一个时代所应作出的改变策略。
最近刚刚读完罗萨的《新异化的诞生》，其“时间加速”理论相较于此书更为学术，也更为深刻。但松冈真宏的这本书以更接近我们日常生活的描写告诉我们如何应对这个社会全面加速的时代。松冈真宏提出，在这个时代中，我们应用时间的方式分为两种，一种是“时间的高效化”，另一种是“时间的舒适化”。所谓“时间的高效化”就是在一定的时间内可以完成更多的工作，或者耗费更少的时间来完成同样的工作。而所谓“时间的舒适化”则是让我们可以充分享受生命中有限的时光并感到幸福和快乐。这种现象突出地表现出来，其基础必然是“丰盛社会”的到来。在机械取代了绝大部分的人力劳动，人类生活的基本需要被充分满足（商品供应已经超过生活所需）之后，在生物科技还没有能够解决人类寿命问题之前，时间便成为了制约人类的最后一个因素。
从今天来看，我们大概可以预计，在我们这一代，人类的寿命问题不会得到解决，这也就意味着无论权贵或是平民，面对亡我们还是相对平等。每一个人还是占有着有限的生命时光，在物质丰盛的社会中，我们越来越不再奔波着为“活下去”而努力，而是渴望在有限的生命时间之中获得更为丰盛的精神感官体验。松冈真宏为我们拿出的药方便是，将你的工作时间和生活时间打穿，.让你的单位时间更具价值。打穿工作时间与生活时间所需要的，是一个人的多面视野，在电脑技术如此成熟（并将更加成熟）的今天，知识在很多时候都不再成为制约一个人的关键因素，而创造力可以让一个人在未来社会更具竞争力，其单位时间也就能够创造出更多的价值。全方位的视野之所以能够让一个人更具创造力，也就有了在未来世界的核心竞争力。而全方位视野带来的创造力不仅仅能够让一个人的工作时间更加高效，同时也让他的工作变成了一种舒适化的享受时间。在享受生命的过程中创造价值，具有创造性的工作是人类社会追求的理想目标，马克思所谓“人的本质力量对象化”或许可以在未来社会的日常工作中变为现实。
而创造性会带给我们更加丰富的世界，差异性在大众文化中被消灭之后，其保留下来的星星之火会在未来的时代重新归来。包括周宪老师在内的很多学者专家都在批判大众文化对文化的破坏，但我却似乎看到了未来走出大众文化怪圈的一点希望之光。中国社会的城乡差异和地区差异让不同地理位置的人们的日常生活图景产生了巨大差异。在北上广深，时间被压缩，人们每天在做了无数的事情之后却仍旧感到一天下来没有做过什么。而在山东临朐的乡村，人们仍旧日出而作日落而息，每天耕种田野，做有限的事情却感到时光的充实。时间加速还没有能够完全将地理区位上的差异抹，社会多元取向若能在差异消失之前尽快到来，让每一种生活方式都能够获得充分的保障和不同的生命体验，那么这种文化和生活方式的差异还可以保留并让人们在未来各取所需，获得其渴望的生活，也能够在不同的生活之间快速转换。
当然，种种美好的愿景都建立在生产力足够强大，物质足够丰富的基础之上。在未来，人工智能或许可以让我们距离生命的美好更近一步。我相信未来。
