竞争过于激烈，也会产生压力。考进学校大榜前100名时，你在心喜之余又多了一分压力，因为在你“前面”又有好多人，很多比你能力强的人；当你挤进前50名的时候，在得意之余，又会多了一丝压力，你的“前方”仍然有好多人，所以不敢放松，继续学习。当已经成为前30名时，会觉得“天终于亮了”，你“前部”的人又少了一大批，可是，毕竟还存在差距，还来不及庆祝，就再次埋头苦学。学生的天职被一个“学”字所遥控着，被“升学率”、“名次”、“分数”所统领。为之而悲愤。却又无能为力，是一种无法超脱的，而且每个人都要经历的残酷的必然。每一次，每个人的选择只两个：分子或分母，佼佼者或普通人。古人称其为“鸿儒”和“白丁”。
压力在你踏进小学的校门起，一点一点的开始加重，有社会给予你的，有家庭给予你的，也有你自己给予你自己的。压力会随着你的年级的增高而增家，却决不会随着岁月的流逝而减少。压力如同天空中的云朵，时而零星时而阴云。压力也时大时小，时大时小，时重时轻。
