这是一幅秋天的画。画上的我举着一根长长的竹竿，伸着脖子。这是在干什么呢?原来是我在摘柿子。
那是国庆节，妈妈带我去长塘摘柿子。一路上，我好奇地想：柿子树是什么样的?高高的还是矮矮的?柿子又是怎么长的呢?
到了长塘，我被眼前的景象惊呆了，好高的柿子树呀!瞧，这棵柿树比两层楼还要高呢。仰望柿子树，枝桠上挂满了柿子，有红的，有黄绿色的，还有绿里透红的，真好看。熟透了的柿子火红火红的，像一盏盏小红灯笼，真诱人。我真想摘下一个，可是树这么高，怎么摘得到呢?
“别着急，摘柿子是有工具的。”叔叔一边说，一边举着一根长长的竹竿，一直伸到树枝上。这根竹竿是特制的，顶端开着叉，像一把长长的剪刀，可以夹住柿子的柄。叔叔举着竹竿，对准柿子的柄一拽，只听“咔嚓”一声，一个红彤彤的柿子被摘了下来。叔叔把夹住柿子的竹竿伸到我面前，我揪住柿子用力一拔，柿子取了下来。
这样看来，摘柿子多容易呀!我也迫不及待地想试一试。我接过竹竿，慢慢地把它举了起来——哇，手好酸哪，快撑不住了。“一定要坚持住!”我使劲地举着竹竿，寻找着成熟的柿子。哎，这个柿子不错——又大又红。我费劲地把竹竿对准柿子的柄，想把它拽下来，可柿子就是牢牢地和树枝不肯分离，任我怎么生拉硬拽，它就是不下来。我的小脸涨得热辣辣的，胳膊实在撑不住了，只好请妈妈来帮忙……
摘下来的柿子红彤彤的，好看极了。咦，这么漂亮的柿子上怎么有一个小洞呢?妈妈说：“小鸟很机灵，专门挑熟透了的柿子吃，不然它的舌头会麻的。”听了妈妈的话，我想这个柿子一定很甜。我马上剥开皮，大咬一口，满口甜蜜。

柿子树双名朱果、猴枣，以前我家门口就有一棵，不过砍了，
柿子树的树干又粗又大，枝叶开展，带绿色至褐色，无毛，散生纵裂的长圆形或狭长圆形皮孔。花雌雄异株，但间或有雄株中有少数雌花，雌株中有少数雄花，花序腋生，为聚伞花序，柿子树的果实是柿，开始是青色的，上面有一层白粉，到秋天成熟后就是橙黄色的。
柿子是人们比较喜欢的食用果品，它甜腻可口，美味多汁，不少人还喜欢在东季吃冻柿子，另有一番风味，柿子含有丰富的胡萝卜素，维生素C、葡萄糖、果糖和钙、磷、铁等矿物质，成熟的柿子秘杂糖做成的炒面香甜可口，可以做为主食。柿子味甘、涩、性寒，有清热去躁、润肺化痰、软件包坚、止渴生津、健脾、生津、冶痢、止等功能。可以缓解大便干结、痔疮疼痛或出、干咳、候痛、高压等症。所以柿子是慢性支气管炎、高压、动脉硬化、内外痔疮患者的天然保健食品。如果柿子叶子煎服或冲水当茶饮，也有促进机体新陈代谢、降低压、增加冠状动脉流量及镇咳化痰的作用。柿子虽好，但是，也不能多吃，每日吃一个就可以了。不可以空腹吃柿子子，柿子最好在饭后吃，吃柿子时应该尽量不要吃到柿子皮，柿饼表面的柿霜是柿子的精华，千万不要丢弃。空腹吃柿子容易患胃柿石症。不可以吃没有成熟的柿子，柿子不可以和螃蟹同属寒性的食物一起吃。吃完柿子除了不要吃酸性依托以外，也不能与某些药品同吃。柿树的木材是上好的木料，它的质地坚硬，常用来做高尔夫球杆坚硬的杆头。
