st summer holiday, I took a trip to Yunnan. It is in the southern part of our country .It is really a very beautiful place grand mountains, clean rivers and kind people. Trees and flowers are seen everywhere. Every year there are lots and lots of visitors.Maybe you have heard about Shi Lin (stone forests. There are all kinds of strange stones. Some of the small stones look like graceful girls; and the big stones look like handsome men. Other stones look like cats, peafowls, double-edged swords, mice,
elephants and so on. Of all the stones, the stone like a beautiful girl in a legend is the most famous .Its name is A Shima.
I also went to Li Jiang. The roads in that city are just like the Eight Diagrams. Any road in the city goes to the center of Li Jiang. A river runs through the whole city. If you go along the river, you'll never get lost. There are many ethnic minority people in Yunnan. They are very cordial. And they all like singing and dancing. We danced with them around the campfire that night. I really had a good time.
I like the elephants and fruits there best. An elephant is even taller than me! I even mounted the elephant, though I was very afraid at first. But the elephant seemed very friendly. I took some photos with it. The fruits there are very fresh and delicious. They are very good for our health.
The trip to Yunnan impressed me GREatly. I will never forget it.

五一的早上，我们来到素有“小杭州西湖”之称的潮州西湖观赏风景。
进了大门，有一座拱桥架在湖面上，在大门两侧有两只石狮子，它们威武镇定地蹲着，日日夜夜守卫着西湖。从拱桥上向下望，水是那样静，像一面镜子，又是那样绿，像一块碧玉，偶尔还有几只小船从湖面滑过。几棵高大挺拔的榕树挺立在湖岸上，榕树是那么粗壮，几个小朋友才能围起来，树上一根根长头发垂到水里，远远望去，就像一个个小姑娘在洗头发。
走过拱桥，就来到金鱼的家―― 金鲤池。那些鱼儿可贪吃啊，它们要是看见游客手里拿着鱼料，就会跟着那个人游。如果有游客撒下鱼料，鱼儿就争先恐后地来抢鱼料，霎时，池里就会溅起水花。
走完金鲤池，我们登上西湖山，来到四望楼。坐在四望楼前的石阶上，一阵微风吹来，我闭着眼睛，感觉风不是很凉也不是很热。风真是一个魔术师，把远处的鸟声、蝉声都带给我们听，还把树木的`味道带给我们闻。我抬头看见一片片树叶，树叶在阳光中闪着绿光。在树的周围有很多小草，如果你用手去摸摸它，你会感到软软的、痒痒的，像在给你挠痒痒，它们可称得上“天然的按摩机”。 一只只蝴蝶在那里飞来飞去，一阵风吹来，一片片落叶飘了下来，使人分不清是蝴蝶还是落叶，这样人们就捉不到蝴蝶了。登上四望楼，向四周远眺，潮州的景色大半收在眼底。一幢幢高低交错的楼房，一片片郁郁葱葱的树木，一辆辆川流不息的车辆……

九月六日，我们来到雷峰塔游玩，一进雷峰塔我们看见了老雷峰塔很久多年前倒塌后的废墟，主要就剩下了个地基，都是古代的青砖组成。这个废墟是没有被大幅度动过的，被玻璃围着，新雷峰塔在它基础上再建造的。新雷峰塔有七层，可以乘电梯上下。
我们乘电梯到了雷峰塔塔顶，从塔顶向下看，北面是西湖湖面，清楚的看到了三潭印月、柳浪闻莺等景点。向东望去，能看到一座小小的桥，听导游说，这座桥叫长桥，但是它那么小，怎么能叫长桥呢?原来，有个传说的故事，是梁山伯与祝英台在那座桥上分手的故事，虽然桥很短，但情意长，所以叫长桥。抬头继续远处望去，一座山，山上一座古式的建筑，那座山叫吴山，那座建筑叫城隍阁，我还能用望远镜看到城隍阁上的游客呢。由于这天有雾，虽然雷峰塔很高，但很多景点没有看到。
通过和爸爸在雷峰塔上的聊天，还有听导游的讲解。我知道了雷锋塔的一些特点。第一，在雷峰塔上可以看到整个西湖，是游览的好去处，推荐大家以后要是想看整个西湖的话，可以登上雷峰塔观赏。第二，雷峰塔历史悠久，围绕着它有许多故事，最著名的就是《白蛇传》中最后把坏人海法压到了塔底。
这次是我第一次去雷峰塔，第一次近距离的看到了整个西湖。还有就是，爸爸批评我说不太注意观察事物，譬如塔里有很多名人字画、金碧辉煌的历史遗迹等等，我都没有好好参观，留下了一些遗憾，不过，这也刺激了我下次还要去。

In recent years, tourism has been popular and played an important role in our nation’s economic growth. However, I am afraid that if tourism develops over, it will bring harm to the environment and give rise to many problems.
There are a few reasons accounting for my views and I would like to list three of them. One of the examples is that a large number of woods and other plants were replaced by all kinds of accommodation facilities or scenic spots. That definitely breaks the ecological balance of these areas and destroys the natural beauty of the scenic spots. Worse still, more pressure has been placed environment protection in that many tourists left their garbage in the scenic spots. In addition, over-developed tourism will occupy large numbers of farmland and lead to the shortage of the land.
In a word, tourism will be harmful to our environment if it is over development. Thus, I do not advocate that we development tourism without considering the environment. And we should keep the balance between tourism development and environment protection so that we can achieve the sustainable development between our nation’s economy and the environment.
