Since then, this powerful bogie turns itself into a cat in daily life to stay with Xiamu to protect him with the condition that Xiamu should give the contract to it after he die. But before that Xiamu decides to try his best to give the name in the contracts to the bogies and let them get free. Thus, a loving, touching, scary story is opened up.

大雪小雪又一年，小雪节气吃涮羊肉，是故乡多少代人积累下来些习俗，一来是天冷了，吃点羊肉可补充身体热量。二来秋收后，家家都有些收入，涮羊肉能够吃的起。于是，小雪那天，我们村里几乎家家都点上火锅，家家都吃涮羊肉。
窗外寒风凛冽，雪花飘飘，一家人围人坐在烧着碳火的紫铜火锅前，涮着新鲜的羊肉，蘸着美味麻将调料，大白菜，酸菜，土豆片，白薯片，粉丝，冻豆腐，一锅鲜，全家人有说有笑一起涮锅，此乐何极？
家乡是满族聚集区， 村里人绝大多数是满族后代，对于火锅的来历， 最值得骄傲，小时候大人常给我们讲，火锅是咱们满族祖先努尔哈赤的发明，我们满族人的火锅最正宗，要是没有当年的涮羊肉，我们满族的老祖宗能打下天下吗？在懵懵懂懂中，我们对火锅涮羊肉情愫加深了。
可那时候乡村普遍穷，吃火锅涮羊肉对我们来说太奢侈，简直不敢想，只能停留在口头上，我长到11.2岁时，也没有见过火锅是什么样的，能吃涮羊肉就更是做美梦的事情了。

记得那次从小五家尝到火锅涮羊肉后，回到家里，我和父母说在小五家吃火锅了，我刚说完，老爹就狠狠地打了我一耳光，骂我说，小孩子家家的，人不大嘴挺馋，居然到人家瞎吃东西，我委屈的哭了，妈妈心疼地说，以后到别人家，不许随便吃人家东西。我说，我没馋，是小五妈让我吃的，妈妈搂着我，泪水潸然而下。
这个时代的变化实在是太快了，有一年冬天，也是个大雪天，我放学回家，刚进院子里，只见老爹正在院子里烧木炭，木炭边上摆着一个紫铜火锅，他烧木炭是那么专注，木炭烧透之后，放进火锅火膛中，锅里加上水，然后端进屋里放在炕桌上，大声喊我们，孩子们，今天是小雪节气，咱们也吃火锅涮羊肉啦，这时妈妈把一大盆切好的羊肉端了上来，又配了许多蔬菜，老爹把肉放到锅里，妈妈给我们每个人的碗里盛上麻酱，我们一家人其乐融融， 第一次感受到全家吃火锅涮羊肉的快乐。
从那时起，在我们村，家家户户，吃火锅涮羊肉是经常的事情了，我们村山场广阔，适宜发展养殖业，家家户户饲养山羊，秋季出栏后，每家都留上几只膘肥体大的山羊，小雪大雪节春节前后几只，家家都有火锅，吃火锅涮羊肉再也不是奢侈的事情了。
冬季天黑得早，鹅毛大雪又下了一天，美丽的海滨城市到处一片洁白，哥哥打电话催促说，火锅的老汤都开了，白酒也烫好了，你们全家赶紧打车过来，下肉，开涮！
