记得在我刚上小学一年级的暑假，有一天，妈妈要去郑州办事，我也跟着去了。因为要赶早晨六点多的火车，所以我们起了个大早，急急忙忙去赶火车。
火车是从洛阳站始发的所以车上的人还不多，我和妈妈找了个座位坐好。火车开了大约一个小时，到了巩义车站，一下子上来了很多人，让原本冷清的'车厢突然变得喧闹起来，车厢里已经严重超员了，人们摩肩接踵。就在火车快要开的时候，我们所在的车厢友上来了一位白发苍苍的老爷爷。他看上去身体还挺好，大约有六十多岁，随身还带着一个小凳子和一个小包袱，正吃力地向车厢中部挤去，好像要找一块空地坐下。两旁的人们漠然地看着，也没有人给他让座。就在他快走到我们身边时，妈妈突然站了起来，给老爷爷让座。她的这一举动显然出乎老爷爷的预料，老爷爷有点吃惊地看着妈妈，愣了一会儿，才说：“好闺女，还是你坐吧，你还带着孩子。”在妈妈的一再坚持下，他终于坐在了座位上，说：“哎哟，我今年82了，活了这么大岁数，只见过有人在汽车上让座的，还是第一次看见有人在火车上让座的!真是个好闺女!来，你坐我这小凳子吧!”老爷爷说的这句话让我很难忘。听着妈妈受到表扬，我也觉得很自豪，周围的人们也都向妈妈投去了赞慕的目光。妈妈接过老爷爷的小凳子，连说“谢谢”，做好后，他们又高兴地聊了起来。时间过得很快，旅途也似乎短了许多。
这件事虽然不算大，但是它让我十分难忘，妈妈的做法让我非常受感动。

到了芳村站了，车门一打开，一位老人走了进来，老人行动十分不方便，走路一拐一拐的，白头发中几乎找不到一条黑发，双眼有红根，似呼大病一场。此时地铁里仍然是那么挤，人还是那么多。
老人双手十分抖，我心想：“老人的手那么抖，地铁又不稳，如果没位置老人就要站着要是手扶不稳就会跌倒。我的眼睛突然看到了一个人牌子，上面写着：请为老人、小孩、残疾人士让座，虽然我是一个小孩但牌子是写着老人应当让这位老人啊!我马上站了起来。妈妈一见便问到：”有椅为什么不坐?“我微笑着说：“我想站着。”
说完，那位老人果然注意到了刚让的位置，就走了过去。妈妈本想继续问下去，之间老热坐下妈妈才恍然大悟。
虽然那位老人可能永远也不知道是我让座给他的，但帮助别人就是快乐!
