一辆大巴驶过，坑里的积水溅得老高。待一切都趋于宁静时晓珊望着水坑还在回味刚才“壮丽”的幕。突然，她的眼睛一亮：水面上飘满了五颜六色的波痕并不断地交换着颜色。晓珊兴奋极了。“妈妈，我发现了彩虹仙女的家，你快来呀！”她边喊边跑向家里。这时妈妈走出来了。“妈妈，我……”“唉，你这孩子，又把衣服弄脏了。你是一个女孩，不要再大惊小怪了，远离这些无聊的东西。”晓珊仍然不肯放弃，继续说：“我发现彩虹仙女的.家了”。邻居小男孩像个小老头似的说：“真幼稚，那是汽油滴到水上浮散开了。阳光一照就形成，这是光的反射”。晓珊失望极了。
多年过后，已为人母的晓珊在院子里晒太阳。他的儿子阿杰跑过来兴奋地说：“妈妈，我发现了仙女的家”。她刚想训斥儿子时，蓦然想起当年那个被击碎的“发现”，一切都是那么的遥远。晓珊俯下身，温柔的说：“是的，仙女的家被你发现了，但愿你永远地珍藏这个发现”。瞬间，她发现童年与中年的她产生了如此遥远的距离。晓珊再也不能平静了。
随着年龄的增长，阅历的丰富，儿时的童真与真诚都逐渐被忙碌的生活遗忘。我们与孩童心灵上的距离是那么的遥远，愈拉愈长。
距离是一把锉刀，扶平了我们的棱角，让我们像黑白电视机一样单调无色彩；距离是一面密不透风的围墙，堵塞了我们的语言，让我们如木偶一般机械；距离是一条通天河，隔绝了我们的心灵，让我们似鹅卵石一样冰冷，不经意中，距离趁虚而入。当距离变得遥远，会使没有完全麻木的心融化。
其实世上本没有距离，丧失童真的人多了，也就产生了距离。只要我们在心中修筑一座坚固的桥，用信念做基，沟通做梁，那么它就会永远的挺立在风雨中，生活的洪流就不会冲垮它，距离也就不复存在。
