随着人们的生活水平提高，家家户户都有了全自动洗衣机，每次洗衣服时都会用洗衣机来清洗。这样不仅造成了水资源的浪费，也造成了浪费了电的浪费。如果每月有一次用手来洗衣服的话每台洗衣机每年可节能约1.4千克的煤，减少排放二氧化碳3.6千克。而这些却仅仅是一台洗衣机每年节省的。如果全国有1.9亿台洗衣机每月减少使用一次，那么每年可减少排放二氧化碳68.4万吨。
在炎热的.夏季，人们往往想到的是空调，可以给我们带来凉爽的电器。不过，空调虽然可以给我们带来凉爽可它也是耗电量较大的电器，温度越低，它所耗的能量就越多。如果每台空调都能在原有的温度上提高一度，那如果全国1.5亿台空调每年可节约33亿度，减少排放二氧化碳317万多吨。
车，是现代人出门的常用交通工具，如果全国车辆每星期能减少一次开车出门的话，每年可节省油10多亿升，减少排放二氧化碳200万吨。
低碳生活是一种观念，一种意识，一种态度。我们应该意识到，减少排放，减少浪费是对地球的一种贡献，低碳生活不会降低我们的生活水平和质量，而是一种新的生活方式，是更高尚，更高端的生活方式。
