在这个暑假，妈妈教会了我勤俭节约。大家听我一一道来吧!
那是在一个烈日炎炎的中午，我和妈妈在阴凉的室内吃着香喷喷的午饭。接下来发生的一切使我非常惭愧!“我吃好了。”我丢下这样一句简单的话，一个转身就准备去看昨天那本令我魂牵梦萦的书。意料之外的是，妈妈一把拉住我，严厉地问道：“饭为什么剩了这么多?这每一粒米都是农民伯伯辛辛苦苦种起来的呀!你有没有听过一句诗叫做——谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦。再有，你爷爷是个农民，你这么不珍惜粮食，这是像了谁啊?”“那我吃不下了，肯定是剩在碗里的呀?还能怎样。”我理直气壮地说。
随着“叮”的声音传来，妈妈打开手机，看到了爸爸发的，爷爷在田里耕作的视频，不禁泪如泉涌。噢!原来是这样的：爸爸听说，爷爷今天要去田里查看稻子的生长情况，又担心爷爷会中暑，所以跟着一起去。不忍心，爷爷含辛茹苦种出的谷子被浪费，所以才发的这个视频，他要让全天下的孩子们都看到，都学会勤俭节约，光盘行动。妈妈把手机拿过来逼我看，我刹那间傻了眼。爷爷弯着腰在除草，他万分仔细，目光不放过任何一根杂草。我一头雾水，问道：“妈妈，以我们家的条件，爷爷是不用每天这样累的，他为什么要每天把自己弄得这样累呢?”
妈妈说道：“女儿，我们现在生活的富裕，都是爷爷头上一滴滴的汗水换来的。要我说，那一滴滴的汗水就如同珍珠一般贵重。所以，我们要学会节约，不能浪费农民伯伯的辛苦。懂吗?我相信，你会懂的。”我似懂非懂地点点头，真是“听君一席话，胜读十年书。”啊!
现在，我再也不是一个浪费粮食的人了!这短短的经历，虽是在这个暑假中学到的，但却是我一生的受益。妈妈的那段话一直回荡在我的脑海中……

Being lazy will eventually lead to failure. Don't wait, because you don't know how long it will take when you put off your plan.

一天我要出去玩，所以早早地起床了。正要洗脸的时候发现停水了，于是急匆匆地出发了。晚上回来的时候，一进门就听到屋子里哗哗的水导声。发现洗衣手池的水早已满了，哗哗地往外流，整个卫生间里都是水。我心想，今天出门时，忘记关水开关了。心里暗暗自责起来。第二天，我和妈妈去交水电费，收费的阿姨说77元。妈妈说了一句，比上月多出一倍多。
通过这件事让我知道平时要养良好的习惯，不要粗心大意，做了不必要的浪费。我觉得平时能手日光灯，不开灯，人走灯灭;能手扇子，不开空调，不要浪费每一天纸，每一滴水，每一支笔，每一粒米。妈妈说过，并不是铺张浪费就代表富有，并不是勤俭节约就说明一个贫穷。我牢牢记住了这句话。
我把我的想法告诉了妈妈，妈妈欣慰地笑了。
就让我们从现在做起，做一个勤俭节约的小学生吧!

这是我暑假阅读中所积累的，探寻了“勤俭节约”的历史与名言警句。
历史上，古今中外有许多节约的故事不胜枚举，比如中国的伟大领袖毛泽东、英国女王伊丽莎白二世、中国外交部长周恩来……令我最敬佩的是毛泽东。他要求别人的自己会先做好，他一生的粗茶淡饭，穿粗布衣，睡硬板床，生活极为简朴。一件睡衣穿了20年，缝补了70余次。在经济困难的时候，他自己主动减薪，降低生活标准。一顿饭只有一大盆肉丸，熬白菜，几小碟咸菜，主食吃烧饼。伟人在这方面做出了表率，我们因当向他学习。
英国女王伊丽莎白二世经常说的一句英国谚语是“节约便士，英镑自来”每天深夜她都亲自熄灭白金汉宫小厅堂和走廊的灯。她坚持皇家用的牙膏要挤到一点不剩。
我在生活中也有许多勤俭节约的故事。有一次我从地铁站出来，太阳晒着皮肤，隐隐有些刺痛，当时我身上还剩40余元，可以打个车去餐馆吃饭，但是我回想起了当时的零元钱生存挑战难赚钱的情景，我觉得父母赚钱也不容易。我自言自语的说：“反正路近，干脆走过去算了。”在走的时候我几次想反悔，但是我说到要做到，我几次鼓励自己说：“我一定可以的!”不久到家了，但已是满头大汗。
多少年来，中国发展的各个时期，非常艰苦，勤俭节约都作为一种社会认同的传统美德，在中国持续和发扬。这也是我国从小到大，从弱到强的重要因素。
艰苦生活虽然离我们越来越远，但是我们仍应牢记：平日里要节约缩食，困难时才易渡过难关;富足时将华奢侈，困难时将难以生存。节约需要我们从一点一滴做起，从身边细小的事情做起，不因事微而不为，不因利小而弃之。我们要从身边事、身边物做起，加强节约养成节约的好习惯。 滴水亦成河。如果我们每个人都能做到节约，汇集起来将支撑我们走向光明的未来!让我们从现在做起、从点滴做起、从身边做起、节约每滴油、每升水、每度电、每分钱、每张纸、强化勤俭观念，减少和杜绝浪费，推动企业的科学发展。
