这本书是意大利作家罗大里写的。书中讲的是一个叫小茉莉的孩子因为嗓门太大，处处受到别人的歧视，因此奔走他乡，没想到误打误撞进了假话国。这里黑白颠倒，面包叫墨水，绅士叫海盗，起床说晚安，睡前道你早，不服从就要坐大牢，这都是一个叫贾蒙利的海盗头子的杰作，因为他嫌海盗这个名声太难听。
在这里，小茉莉因为不愿说假话被多次抓进监狱，可他没有屈服，而是勇敢地同困难作斗争，义无反顾地坚持了下去。由于他的嗓门大，也做了一些不同凡响的事，例如他使劲一喊就把墙壁上的猫震活了；他放声歌唱时，竟把全国的玻璃都打碎了，把墙壁震得嗡嗡作响，还掉了一层漆。他用高亢的声音震跑了假话国的国王，震塌了“疯人院”，也解放了许多无罪的、敢说真话的人。
在反抗中，小茉莉结识了一些朋友，他们一起推翻了朝廷，夺回了本就属于自己的自由。

书是人类进步的阶梯，所以作为一个小学生，我们应该多看好书。今天我就向大家推荐一本老舍写的《骆驼祥子》。这本书讲了主人公祥子如何从一个勤劳朴实，忠厚善良，注重信誉，讲义气的'车夫堕落到一个乱多狡猾，极端自私，耍无赖的“刺儿头，最后禁不住夏太太的诱惑，得了一身脏病。祥子本来只是一个守本分的车夫，不怕吃苦，健壮，喜欢沉默而又又生气，靠自己的劳动换来了一辆属于自己的车，他原本打算等攒够了钱再做个车厂老板。她很要强，希望能靠自己的本事吃饭，但是由于他生于一个黑暗的社会，新车去被抢，后有委曲求全去了虎妞……着一连串的悲剧压得他喘不过气来，于是他对生活的信心以及要强的性格开始一点点的丧失，最终变成了一个彻头彻尾的坏蛋。
祥子一生几起几落最终沉沦，这个故事反应了半殖民地半封建的中国社会里层任命的悲苦命运，也证明了生活在那个时候的来动人们要想只是通过自己的劳动来换取成果是不可能的。
一个人要是堕落了，那还能做什么呢?我推荐着本书就是因为它让我明白，每一个人都应带有目标，有理想，更要为这目标和理想而努力，但是当我们遇到挫折时也不要放弃，更不能堕落，是是应该坚强。而且我觉得这本书揭露了旧社会的腐败，我像大家看了一定会动的如何坚强，如何珍惜眼前的生活
