沙河也是浕水公园的一大特点。水面无波，倒映着对面许多景物的倒影。楼房幢幢紧挨，房前的绿树，红瓦白墙的高楼，都映在沙河平静无澜的镜面上。河面上飘浮的鸭子船，水中漂荡的绿藻，则给这幅美术画又增添了几分趣味。还有的树木生长得特别特别茂盛，树枝垂在水中，仿佛和倒影连在了一起，倒是真如“分行接绮树，倒影入清漪”所绘的景象了。
沙河的水面有两座石桥。一座是独拱石桥，一座是多拱石桥。多拱石桥的桥身要长一些，下面一共有七个桥洞，每个桥洞的大小不一，由中间最大的桥洞向两边延伸，剩余六个桥洞就越来越小。座翘的桥弧度就像一张弓。桥上修着围栏，雕刻着精美的图案，并刷上了白漆，看起来十分美观。每至夜晚，桥洞上的灯就亮起来，亮如白昼，煞是好看。灯光映在漆黑的河面上，给河面添了几分色彩。
