Long, long ago, there were two brothers, the one rich and the other poor. When Christmas Eve came, the poor one had not a bite in the house, either of meat or bread; so he went to his brother, and begged him, in God's name, to give him something for Christmas Day. It was by no means the first time that the brother had been forced to give something to him, and he was not better pleased at being asked now than he generally was.
"If you will do what I ask you, you shall have a whole ham," said he. The poor one immediately thanked him, and promised this.
"Well, here is the ham, and now you must go straight to Dead Man's Hall," said the rich brother, throwing the ham to him.
"Well, I will do what I have promised," said the other, and he took the ham and set off. He went on and on for the livelong day, and at nightfall he came to a place where there was a bright light.
"I have no doubt this is the place," thought the man with the ham.
An old man with a long white beard was standing in the outhouse, chopping Yule logs.
"Good-evening," said the man with the ham.
"Good-evening to you. Where are you going at this late hour?" said the man.
"I am going to Dead Man's Hall, if only I am on the right track," answered the poor man.
"Oh! yes, you are right enough, for it is here," said the old man. "When you get inside they will all want to buy your ham, for they don't get much meat to eat there; but you must not sell it unless you can get the hand-mill which stands behind the door for it. When you come out again I will teach you how to stop the hand-mill, which is useful for almost everything."
So the man with the ham thanked the other for his good advice, and rapped at the door.

As far as I am concerned, I don't agree that students pursue famous brand. Most students can't earn money by themselves. We can't waste the money to buy expensive things which are not useful. It is hard for parents to make money. Remember, the main task of the students is to study.

犹记这个故事是这样的。
从前有个叫凡艾斯克的医生，他非常注重时间就是生命的理念，从来都是不管多晚，只要有病人他都会第一个赶到手术室。
然而有一天，窗外正飘着雪，是寒冷的冬夜。已经晚上十点多了，就在他准备休息的时候，电话铃响了，听筒中传来的是海顿医生的声音：“医生接诊了一名遭遇车祸的孩子，情况比较严重，你能否到医院来一趟？”
“好的，没问题。但是因为下雪我可能会晚到一会儿，你们要先做好必要的准备。”凡艾斯克医生毫不犹豫地回答道。
凡艾斯克医生上了车，朝医院急驶而去。突然，前面的.红绿灯闪烁了一下，变成了红灯。凡艾斯克无奈地减速停车。与此同时，路边闪出一条黑影，冲过来打开车门，用枪抵住了凡艾斯克的头部。还没等医生反应过来，黑影把他重重推倒在了地上，开着车就跑了。
看到汽车急驶而去，凡艾斯克内心焦急万分。
在寒冷的冬夜里，过往的出租车已经见不到了，连归家的行人也没有一个。
无奈中，凡艾斯克向前奔走了半个多小时，终于见到巡逻警车驶过。医生向巡警说明情况，并请求巡警将他送往医院。
当凡艾斯克到达医院的时候，海顿医生告诉他一个非常糟糕的情况：那个孩子在一刻钟之前已经停止了呼吸，永远地停止了心脏的跳动。
凡艾斯克听到这个消息后呆了一下，随即说道：“我在路上遭到了打劫，车被人劫走了。”
角落中，坐在侯诊凳上的黑影抖了一下，他听到了所有的谈话，悔恨万分，他就是孩子的父亲，那名劫车者。
整个故事就是这样，看完了后，你又有什么感受呢？
有一位先哲讲过一句：以害人始，必将以害已终。
如果孩子的父亲（劫车者）不去劫凡艾斯克医生的车，那么他的孩子应该就会有救了吧！可是他却没有想过，自己劫了别人的车，迟早会遭到报应的。可是，这个报应却降临在自己的孩子的身上。一个人所犯的错误，不应该由另一个人承担的。然而命运却又过于捉弄人了，这就是命运！
有很多事，并不像我们表面看到的那样。就是无法选择的命运。世事往往如此：当你刻意追逐时，它就像蝴蝶一样振翅飞远！
其实在这个事件中，最可怜的是那个出了车祸的孩子，什么都没做，却无缘无故地离开了人世间。噢！可怜的孩子。这一切都不该发生的，命运对你实在是太无情了！我知道的，你父亲想在第一时间得知你的情况，想看看伤得重不重。可是，你爸爸却劫了救你命的那个医生的车，这都是命运的巧合，孩子！

说实在，这样的话我不知听了多少遍，似乎理由都千篇一律，至少对我来说他们都迟到了，给别人造成极大的麻烦。而这些人总似乎是振振有词，自持有理由便希望得到别人的“谅解”，转身后便对别人大叹：“幸好又逃过一回，所以你那么赶干嘛啦……”总而言之，因为我遇到抱有侥幸心理的人太多，导致我对那些对我诚恳说着“对不起，我迟到了”的人总怀着一些过分的恶意，从来嘴下和脸上都不留情面。因为一件事让我明白“迟到”不能被轻易原谅!
校运会走队列，要求人员要齐，时间定好了。虽骄阳并不似火，但寒风习习，吹得一群女生窝缩抱在一起瑟瑟发抖。这时，抱怨四起也就情有可缘，凭什么我们要瑟瑟发抖而有些人则可以在被窝里再躲一阵子?而他们的迟到也造成整个队伍无法开始训练的后果。于是，大家只好一起无所事事等那些人来。而姗姗来迟的他们手中握着热乎的早餐，跑过来对我说：“对不起，我因为……”
那时的我是心软的，一旦有人对我解释，我便会原谅他们，嘴上应着没事，人来就好。事后我却知道一些准时到达的同学因为我的要求而没吃早餐，而因为迟到的人的耽误白白在风中等了半个小时，再加上训练半小时，饿得胃疼、低糖。我竟然因为我个人的心软，就凭他们轻描淡写的一句“对不起”就原谅了那些大刺刺迟到的人。也许这些眼中别人的.时间不是时间的人!再和那些早早到来，默不作声付出行动的人对比，我就更生气了!
这一刻我明白了为何会越来越多人迟到的原因。中国人的劣根性从小根中，从上一辈到下一辈浅移默化，从“法不责众”到对时间观念的毫不在乎，这一样样都会导致团体事务的效率降低，究其根本也许就是因为我们毫无原则的“宽容理解”。因为有人迟到，迟到的人没有事，那我为何早到，反正都要等这么久?我明白龙应台写那部《中国人你为什么不生气?》心中的痛苦与呼喊，守时观念是一件大事，而我们的上一代就没有做好应有的榜样。
我讨厌“我迟到了，对不起……”这一类话，守时是对别人的尊重，是对自己一种锻炼与克制!我希望“我迟到了”这些话能听到越来越少，因为这个世界不需要一个“对不起，我迟到了”的中国，中国也不需要“对不起，我迟到了”这样的接班人。

They lose interest in studying when they come to the free environment. Mastering the professional skill helps them to be competitive. The sad thing is that most of them can't realize it.
首先，专业知识占据着最重要的角色。作为一名学生，学习知识是他们的工作，而很多学生在课堂上玩手机，或者睡觉。当他们来到自由的环境后对学习失去了兴趣。掌握专业技能帮助他们提高竞争力，可悲的是，大多数人没有意识到这一点。
Second, as there is much free time, they can make use of it and gain the valuable experience. Students can join some clubs to develop more interest, or find part-time jobs. It is better than to stay in the dorm and play computer games all the time.
第二，由于空闲时间多，他们可以充分利用好这些时间，并从中获得宝贵的经验。学生可以参加一些活动来发展更多的兴趣爱好，或找份兼职工作。比呆在宿舍玩电脑游戏好多了。
A lot of students feel lost in the campus, because they don't plan campus life well. The things you learn will make you different in the future.
