本学期已经结束，暑假将从7月2日下午开始，至8月30日结束。孩子是国家的未来，是父母和家庭的希望，孩子安全大于天。在校期间，学校和老师对学生进行了专门的安全教育。即将开始的暑假，对家长来说，对孩子的安全监管责任更重。为了国家的未来，为了每一位孩子、每一个家庭都有一个灿烂美好的明天，我们特提请各位家长配合做好以下工作，确保孩子们过一个安全、健康、快乐的.暑假：
1、做好流行性传染病的防治。要做好甲型流感和手口足病等流行性传染病的预防工作，教育孩子搞好个人卫生，加强卫生知识教育，坚持做到早发现、早治疗。
2、做好饮食卫生安全教育。夏季是肠道疾病多发季节，家长要教育孩子注意饮食卫生，吃瓜果必须洗干净，吃冷饮要适量，吃隔夜食物要查验是否变质。孩子出现腹泻、呕吐等症状要及时诊疗。带孩子赴宴时，要特别注意保护好孩子，防止孩子被酒精烧伤。
3、加强防溺水安全教育和管护。家长要重点教育并管理孩子不要下河、下堰塘、下水沟、下水渠、下水池游泳、戏水、逮鱼、钓鱼(虾、捡东西等，防止发生溺水事故。
4、加强雨季汛期的安全教育。暑假和雨季汛期在时间上恰好重叠，家长要教育孩子不在下雨、打雷期间外出或上山，防止遭遇洪水、雷击、泥石流或山体滑坡等危险;不要到河滩上玩耍，特别要注意河流上游降雨后下游出现“干河涨水”而发生意外。
5、加强交通安全教育。家长要教育孩子注意交通安全，严格遵守在校期间学习的交通安全知识，遵守交通规则。在乘坐各类交通工具时要遵守规则，坚决不乘坐“黑车”等非法交通工具，不要让孩子骑自行车上路，更不要让孩子驾驶机动车辆，防止发生意外。
6、加强其它方面的安全监护。教育孩子不到营业性网吧上网，不到不适宜未成年人的地方玩耍，不要让孩子参与抹牌赌博、喝酒吸烟、封建迷信等活动。孩子外出必须征得家长同意，家长要弄清楚孩子外出的目的地、交往人的基本情况等，防止孩子被拐卖、诈骗、绑架，或被传销等非法组织诱骗控制。要教育孩子不要与社会闲杂人员混在一起，还要注意其它方面的安全，防止发生意外。

She completely deprived me of sharing her work. As soon as I opened a book to read,she would sit down beside me and ask me about all kinds of things at the college. To please her,I told her one thing after another,and soon I forgot all about books. Even when I was actually reading,she would, now and then,insist that I should eat an egg or drink a cup of tea. When I left home at the end of the vacation, not a thing in my plan had been carried out. But I felt very happy. I believed much more deeply than before in the old saying: Home, sweet home. 雨后初晴的一天，我们怀着激动的.心情踏上了暑假之旅。我们第一站去了清华大学，那里环境优美，绿树成荫，各种雕塑栩栩如生。令我印象最深的还是朱自清笔下的荷塘，那荷花让我第一次体验到什么叫“出污泥而不染”，每朵荷花都穿着粉红色的衣裳，随风飘动，在荷叶的衬托下十分美丽。荷叶和荷花把湖水遮的严严实实，给荷塘带来了无限清爽。
我们的第二站是北京大学，令我记忆犹新的是未名湖和博雅塔。就先说未名湖吧，阵阵微风吹来，湖面波光粼粼，清爽怡人。风停了，湖平如镜，清晰的把湖边美景倒映在水中。湖边的博雅塔陪伴着未名湖，博雅塔十分雄伟，它经历了无数风雨的洗礼，依然默默地耸立在那里，旁边的高树和它比起也不过是小树苗罢了。
爸爸告诉我，清华北大不仅风景优美，历史悠久，而且还是培养高级人才的地方。我不由得下定决心，将来也考上清华北大。对我来说，这个暑假是丰富多彩的，它给我如诗如画的童年增添浓浓的一笔。

summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.
