When father came home, he was very glad to find a big meal on the table. then I asked him to check his e-mail. He was amazed to find a beautiful card in his e-mail-box.

夏日，在城市，香樟树是最为常见的。树不高，也没有特别浓密的枝叶，却给人一种保护伞的情感，吸收灰尘，净化空气，丈许的树荫刚好够人遮阳。雨后的世界是美丽的，道旁树亦是如此。听，风吹叶落时夹杂着雨滴的入地声，赏，叶隙间流动的雨水如跳跃的音符，奏响道旁树上的小型音乐会，也诉出非同凡响的大自然之声。
读过张晓风的《行道树》，作者笔下的行道树是一位无私奉献者的形象，因为社会需要，人们需要，行道树把自己立在城市飞尘里的苦煞当成了神圣的事业，即使忍受孤单、寂寞，信念却让他们默默奉献，我痛苦，但我无怨无悔，因为我的成就感和幸福感是哪样的深沉！
看到环卫工人，我仿佛看到了他们道旁树般的精神。在他人还在睡梦中时，环卫工人便早已起来工作，透骨的寒风，能将他们本就脆弱的身子吹得阵阵发抖，炎炎烈日，城市里的某个角落总能找到他们辛勤劳作的身影，好不容易偷个懒，躲在树荫下快意的抽根烟，舒展一下自己的身子，对来往的行人报以微笑，就是他们日子里最舒服的时刻了，这是多么值得我们去推崇以及尊敬的人啊？好似道旁树般，默默地，真诚第奉献了自己的身体，甘愿与困苦相伴，执着地干好那伤累的工作，值得，敬佩！
在农村，道旁树却是不太相同的'，它们不像江南水乡拥有诗意的杨柳，也不像异国他乡那红灿灿枫树，没有令人惊叹的美丽，消散的艳色，褪去了喧嚣，独剩下“无言的哲理”如同古寺里质朴的老僧，教会我们世间最淳朴的佛理。
无疑，道旁树的身份注定它没有华丽的外表，不像景观树那般能带给人视觉的冲击，但其内在的智慧却是景观树所不能比拟的，正是因为道旁树那默默奉献的精神，悄无声息般将智慧传递给他人，痛苦却无悔，帮助他人，成就伟大的人生，何乐而不为呢？
路往回走，从灯红酒绿到质朴无华，又有多少人能找到道旁树的意义，将奉献的种子，洒在自己的人生之路上呢？
