星期六，妈妈开始准备包饺子了。她准备了一些饺子皮，还有香喷喷的肉馅。我见了，便来了劲，对妈妈说：“妈妈，我也要跟你一起包饺子。”“好啊！”妈妈笑着说。
妈妈先拿了一张饺子皮，放在掌心，放入适量的肉馅，再将饺子皮对折，封口成半圆形，右手拇指按捏住右顶角，然后将皮捏薄，把变薄的顶端往下按，最后连续向下按捏成美丽的.花边就ok了！妈妈包的饺子有的象月牙，还有的象钱包。而我包的饺子就变得奇形怪状，有的我给它馅“喂”得太多，把“肚子”都撑破了，还有的馅又“喂”得太少了，看上去瘦不拉叽的……终于，在我的努力和妈妈的指导下，我接二连三的包出了一个个有模有样的饺子。
忽然，我的脑子里蹦出了一个疑问：饺子有什么含义呢？我急忙请教电脑“老师”。请教了学问渊博的“老师”后，我才知道：饺子原名叫“娇耳”，是我国张仲景发明的。饺子是我国一大发明，从营养角度来讲，荤素搭配，有利于各种营养的均衡吸收，还有利于消化。饺子的营养价值以及传统文化和特殊象征意义而言，将它视为“国食”。这时，一阵浓浓的饺子香扑鼻而来。了解了饺子的知识后，再闻闻这诱人的香味，我急忙跑进厨房，狼吞虎咽、津津有味地吃起来。

我把一张皮摊在手心里，又用勺子舀了少许馅放在皮的中间。再用手指沾了一点水，涂在皮的四周……前面的步骤我学得很不错，可要开始捏花纹时，我就怎么也学不会了。如果把两层皮一起捏，捏出的饺子既不好看又立不正；如果只把一层皮往后捏，捏出的饺子又软又立不正……我想尽办法使饺子变得又好看又能立正，可没办法，饺子就是不跟我做朋友，老跟我反着来。
后来外婆告诉我，水不能沾得太多，沾得太多会把皮紧紧地粘住的。为了饺子既能立住又好看，我们要在捏最后一折时需稍稍弯出一个拱形，这样就可以达到要求啦……
听了外婆的解说，我恍然大悟，于是就按照外婆说的去做，包的饺子果然是“十全十美”。接着，我就照这样又包起饺子来，包得一个比一个有进步。外婆见了，夸奖道：“你这丫头一下开窍了，包得比外婆还要好呢！”我听了心里美滋滋的。
晚餐时，我吃着自己包的饺子，感到无比温馨，无比好吃。我认为，那是我吃过的最好吃的饺子。
包饺子不但能让你变得心灵手巧，而且还能锻炼你的耐心。我喜欢包饺子。

The first step is to mix the flour with water. When the dough is ready, we can begin to make dumpling wrappers. We use a rolling pole to roll the dough into small, thin and round pieces so that they will be easy to cook. When the wrappers are done, it' s time to prepare the filling.
