我爱吃糖，甜蜜的，酸涩的，软糯的，坚硬的……对于我来说，最接近神的方法，就是把白糖倒在汤匙上一口含进去当暖意十足的甜味充斥在唇齿之间，就好似身着白衣的\'仙女游荡在你的口腔之中。但是在老一辈的记忆里，他们的糖却是苦涩，而且当时的普通百姓是看不见这种白色糖晶的，他们眼中的糖，是浅褐色的糖渣这些就是直接从古巴进口进行粗加工的古巴糖。这些古巴原糖进行粗加工切割成了一颗颗的小硬糖，包上包装就可以上是出售，只要有粮票几分钱就可以买一大堆回去，那个时候的小朋友吃到古巴糖就觉得古巴很了不起，那么小的国家还能支持大中华，真是中国人命的好兄弟。正是吃着古巴来的糖，中国小朋友嘴里都传唱着《美丽的哈瓦那》(该曲1963年被编入中国小学生音乐教科书《小学生歌曲选》中
然而在爷爷的记忆里这些象征着美丽哈瓦那的糖一点也不美丽，这些糖在他心中的味道永远是苦大于甜，没有甜蜜的饱和感，只有在劳动和贫穷的苦涩里追求隐约的甜。回忆的滋味无形寥寥，但这古巴糖的滋味是实实在在。1960年古巴领袖格瓦拉率领经济代表团来到中国，从哪时起古巴原糖就走进了亿万中国人命的生活，然而那时候的中国也是内外交困，进口的原糖只有少部分加工成了白糖只有少数家庭条件较好的城市居民可以通过糖票获得一点白糖。那时的白糖就是节日宴桌上的一颗明钻，也是食品界的劳斯莱斯。
现在我国经济发展一日千里，在这个美好的社会主义大家庭里哪里去找这古巴糖?50年代的天朝小学生嘴含一颗古巴糖，边学习边劳动，现在的小学生人手一根辣条，边打游戏边读书。所以在找当年的古巴糖可谓是天方夜谭。曾经的古巴糖似乎已经绝迹了，但是，偶然的一个机会，让我有幸尝到了这种糖。我看着这颗古巴糖仿佛回到了60年代那个凭票购物的困难岁月，当我把糖放入嘴中时，眼泪忍不住流了下来，糖的味道极苦和包含着好几种名贵药材的固体中药大补丸相当，这种苦既是生活的苦也是孤独的苦，却绝对不是劳动心酸的苦，劳动心酸的苦苦在嘴里甜在心中，当我实在受不了是时，我发现那抹苦涩之中的甜突然来临了。这种甜是那么的来之不易，这份甜好似暗夜丛林中透下的一某阳光，温暖却不夺目。这份苦中奋力挣扎出的甜仿佛让我看到了中国人命奋力抗日的艰辛岁月，却在坚定的信念下获得了甜美的胜利果实。这就是回忆的味道，人生的味道。
