第一次对这一句话有记忆，是在我刚踏进小学校园不久的一次数学测试后，因刚开学不久，我还没从入学的兴奋中平静下来，导致我只考了87分，那次，我被老师狠狠地训了一顿，泪水止不住的流了下来。
一出校门，我就扑进接我的妈妈怀里，嚎啕大哭。妈妈抱住我，替我擦干眼泪，柔声地安慰我：“好了，妈妈都知道了，你要知道，成功不是白来的，不要因为一次小测试就丧失了信心，相信自己，只要努力，就一定会有所收获。”我仰起了头，似懂非懂地点了点头。回家后，妈妈帮我把试卷一题一题的分析，再到我懂了为止。
从那以后，我上课认真听讲，下课认真复习，成绩也有所提高，脸上也有了笑容，我的自信又回来了。
课余时间，我一直在学小提琴，经过了开头的兴奋。我又一次失去了我的'信心，每次听到别人那悠扬的琴声，我便觉得自己在拉大锯－－吱吱呀呀，吱吱呀呀，好不难听。每次上课别人都是表扬，而我却只有批评。
一次回家后，我将琴盒狠狠一摔到地上，气呼呼地说：“从今往后，我不会再学小提琴了，你们谁也别逼我！”说完，跑进自己的房间，关上门。躺在床上，看着白花花的天花板，陷入了沉思。当初，学琴是我一个美丽的梦想，可如今，我却要选择放弃，是不是有点过分。
这时，妈妈推开了房门，走了进来，她坐到了我的床边，微笑着看我，轻轻地说：“你只看到别人的成功和收获，可又曾看到别人背后的努力和汗水，并不是你不如别人，而是你缺少练习，相信自己，只要努力，就一定会有所收获！”不知我是对小提琴还有一丝留恋还是妈妈的话激励了我，我又一次地捧起了小提琴。
以后妈妈每天都会陪我练习一个小时的琴。皇天不负有心人，我的付出终有回报，小提琴课上，老师的批评少了，更多的是表扬和赞许。
终于，我成功地过了小提琴十级考试，并取得了证书。
