一只小猪懒洋洋地躺在猪圈里呼呼睡觉，可它被小杨小梅的背诵声吵醒，它瞄了瞄院子里的杨小梅，哼唧了一声，继续去睡。

刚闭上眼睛，那些数字就像长了翅膀一样，钻进它的耳朵里。它只好哼哼唧唧地站了起来烦躁的猪圈里来回走着。嘴里嘟囔着说：“你们人呀！真是麻烦，还要学习，你看我天天睡觉无忧无虑的多好。”

杨小梅见猪会说话，很奇怪，惊讶的问：“小猪你……你会说话？这……这太神奇了。不过我觉得你说的不对，妈妈说读书识字是件很快乐的事，我想你是因为没有知识才会这样说的，所以我不怪你。”

“可我还是要说！学习太累了，整天背呀念呀的！多烦呀！

“喂！小猪。”杨小梅不满地说，“你太懒了，根本不知道知识会给我们带来怎样的快乐，哼！”

小猪听了很不服气，“什么什么？我太懒了，哼！要是我想学一定比你学的快，我们猪生下来就是天才。”

“那好！咱们来打赌，以后我把在学校学的知识教给你，你要是能学会，我就服你了，你看怎么样？”

“成交。”小猪很爽快的答应了。

从此杨小梅把学习的地点挪到了猪圈边，每天对着小猪讲她这一天学到的知识和故事，杨小梅发现小猪真的很聪明，不到半个月就学会了拼音，甚至能从头到尾地背下来，比杨小梅学的还好，而且每次她讲新知识的时候，它睁着好奇地大眼睛仔细的听着。杨小梅教完它一天的课程，出去玩时，它也不休息，嘴里唠唠叨叨的.背着拼音。

一只小鸡见它如此着魔，尖叫道：“小猪你是不是疯啦，整天就知道念abc。”小猪没听见，另一只小鸡说道：“是呀！自从小主人教它知识后，它就不像以前那么安静了，哎！其实学知识有什么用以后还不是被人吃掉……

小猪没听清两只小鸡在说什么，只是隐约间听见了它的名字，心想她们一定在赞美我的勤奋，于是它开心地说：“嗨！小鸡姐姐你们不知道，书本上那些故事充满着乐趣，可是我还不能完全认识上面的字，所以我要抓紧学习。”说完小猪陶醉地抱着书本继续学习去了。

两只小鸡，你看看我，我看看你。谁也没明白小猪说的是什么，它们想这只猪一定是傻掉了，学了几天知识连自己是猪都不知道了。

很快杨小梅发现小猪在一天一天变瘦，眼珠变的发黄，脸也变长了。“小猪，”杨小梅对它说“你瘦了，快休息休息玩一会吧！不然你会生病的。”

“身体有什么要紧的，我一心想要学习，想要多认识一些字，好能读懂更多的故事。”小猪不再理会杨小梅说什么，只顾看着书里的故事入神。

这时妈妈来喂小猪吃饭，她敲着小猪的饭盆叫着它，可是它一动不动的坐在那里。

“小猪，你坐在那里干什么呀？快来吃饭啦！”妈妈叫着小猪说。

小猪摇晃着脑袋，微微的闭上眼睛，一副入神的样子。喃喃的说：“离离原上草，一岁一枯荣……”

妈妈惊讶地对爸爸说：“你来看看这头猪怎么啦？最近我发现它有点反常……变得非常古怪……”

妈妈没有发现杨小梅在一边慌乱的表情，爸爸走了过来狠狠地用棍子驱赶着小猪：“赶紧去吃饭了，我可不喜欢一头猪装模作样的猪！”

小猪被主人打疼了，它气愤的站了起来，不满地看了主人一眼，它觉得主人真野蛮对待动物没有一点爱心。要知道它现在已经和以前不一样了，它是一头有知识的猪。

当天中午吃饭的时候，爸爸说：“这只猪越来越不像话了，白白的吃着粮食，却不长一点膘，这样还不如送到屠宰场去。”

“送到屠宰场去？”杨小梅惊讶地问爸爸，“为什么要把小猪卖到屠宰场去？”

“傻孩子！为了吃猪肉啊！”

杨小梅开始哭了起来，她坚持反对把小猪送到屠宰场去，可是爸爸妈妈是不会听她的话的，大人们一向如此。

杨小梅痛苦地意识到小猪将要面临的灾祸都是她一手造成的，她急得像热锅上的蚂蚁一样，又是哭又是闹，两只脚不停地跺着地，于是，爸爸生气地大声说：“一个不听话的猪已经让我烦透了，难道你也想要挨巴掌吗？”

杨小梅怕了，委屈的站在一边哭了起来。

下午，小猪还是被爸爸送走了，小猪被抓上车的时候，它抓住铁笼子嘶喊着，“你们这些野蛮的家伙，不知道我是一只有知识的猪吗？你们这样生就是犯罪……

杨小梅流着眼泪看着小猪临被拉走时那痛苦的表情，她似乎明白了一个道理，猪学会知识也没有什么快乐可言，学的知识越多给它带来的痛苦就越大，因为它毕竟只是一头猪。
