One day, Paula and Richard decided to make a kite.
First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.

吃完饭，我约弟弟妹妹一起去堆雪人，他们俩一听，欣喜若狂地欢呼跳跳跃着，连忙准备好铲子，小桶和一些做雪人的材料。
来到院子里，我们开始忙乎起来，妹妹和我一起滚了两个又大又圆的雪球，然后把它垒了起来，弟弟在雪地中仔细地搜寻着枯萎的树茎。我看见了说：“OK”！“材料已经准备好了，咱们开工吧！”紧接着，大家拿起材料干自己的活。我用树茎给雪人安上了一圈花环，用凋谢的花瓣作上面的装饰品，用野果作它的扣子，用树枝
作它的手臂。妹妹用腊梅花作它的眼睛，再用胡萝卜作它的鼻子，然后用树叶作它的嘴巴。而弟弟却用玻璃片做它的耳朵，还把自己的围巾绕在雪人的腰上当腰带，最后用水桶作它的帽子。就这样，一个胖胖的雪人就神气地坐在院子里了。
我们一边笑一边欣赏自己的杰作，笑声招来了一群小鸟，好像在说：“你们做的雪人真漂亮呀！”
这一天是我在假期中最快乐的一天！因为堆雪人实在太有趣了。

菲特最喜欢的还是台灯，看彼得轻轻一点台灯底部的一小块凹入的部分，台灯霎时亮了，再轻轻一触，台灯又灭了。他也学着去碰那块地方，就在他的手刚贴上台灯，还没用任何力气时，哗，台灯亮了！菲特开心地笑道：“奇妙！奇妙！”
彼得给菲特拿出了一个拳击器材，教他要站在上面，用拳头打击前方的球就可以了。而菲特却没有紧紧踩住器材的底部，并且打球时用力过猛，导致球反弹回来时掀翻整个器械，菲特也被球打倒，尽管他在地上痛苦地坐着，但还在呻吟声中研究是什么东西产生了如此大的弹力。
菲特不仅自己探索新事物，还把这种精神传递给了彼特。他带着彼得跃过山丘，飞过房屋，游览整座城市，最后来到海边欣赏夜景。
正当他想着探索更多的事物时，太阳出来了，他融化了，但他的灵魂一定飞到另一个半球去，继续他的探索之路。
