英语社区小作文【一】
There was a farmer in the Song Kingdom in ancient China. He worked in his field day after day. In good harvest years, he could only have enough food to eat and enough clothing to wear. If the field failed to produce enough crops, he had to go hungry. This farmer wanted to improve his life. But he was too lazy and too cowardly. He always dreamed of having unexpected fortune.
A miracle took place at last. One day, when he worked in the field, some people were hunting nearby. They shouted loudly one after another. Some little animals were running desperately. Suddenly, a hare dashed itself headlong against the stump of a dead tree in his field and died.
That day, he had a good meal.
From that day on, he no longer worked in his field. From morning till night, he stayed by that miraculous stump, waiting for another hare. Will the miracle happen again?
People often use the set phrase “staying by a stump waiting for more hares to come and dash themselves against it" to refer to persons dreaming to reap without sowing.

人们后来就常用“守株待兔”这个成语来形容那些老梦想着不耕种就会有收获的人。

刚刚得知我们要上一次与社区有关的综合实践活动课，要大家做好相关的调查时，教室里就热闹开了。
“调查社区？社区……”、“社区生活与我们有什么关系？”、“‘快乐队’的过来，我们大家来商量一下？……”
教室里，同学们三五成群，有的说，有的写，有的在争论……咦？邱祥峰怎么一个人低着头？走过去轻轻一看原来他在查字典，看到他皱着眉头，我问道：“祥峰，需要帮忙吗？”“字典里没有社区这个词的解释。社区是什么？社区到底包括哪些内容？”
这时候，老师发言了：“同学们，安静一下，好吗？谁能够告诉老师，你是怎样理解‘社区’这个词的？”刚刚安静的教室又热闹起来，学生纷纷从自己的角度说开了……真没有想到一个简简单单的词语竟被学生们用自己的语言解释得那么丰富多彩，那么富有生活的气息。
课堂上，由于课前准备充分，学生表现很积极活跃。在“实践快车道”这一环节中，5个小组各有侧重，都充分发挥了自己小组成员的特长。第一小组的.张瑞超同学写下了“爱我社区”四个遒劲有力的毛笔字；第二小组的程楚帆同学当场创作了一幅题目为“绿意”的山水国画，他说要让绿色充满人间，充满每一个人的心田；第三小组根据自己的生活实践经验自创的“拍手歌”浅显易懂，非常具有教育意义；第四小组则根据《我们只有一个地球》以及本节课所学的知识，以“地球哭了”--“清洁地球”--“地球笑了”为线索动手创作一组生动有趣的漫画，以画明理很有创意。
而第五小组则充分发挥自己小组的文学特长，以“我是社区小主人”为题，即兴写了一首小诗：我骄傲--/我是社区小主人/太阳给我温暖/大地给我筋骨/我属于周围的/每一片绿叶/每一株小草/我兴奋--/我是社区小主人/清风给我凉爽/鲜花给我芳香/我属于周围的/每一寸泥土/每一朵小花/我自豪--/我是社区小主人/蓝天给我自由/白云给我欢乐/我属于周围的/每一滴雨露/每一丝光芒/也许，我们小主人的力量有限/但我们的关怀--备至无限！

日月轮回，斗转星移，蛇年很快就要过去了，新年的脚步越来越近。回顾过去的2013年，是我们小北曲社区不平凡的一年。2011年3月我在青岛市中院起诉韩国人拖欠工程款，然而咱社区的某位领导在2012年11月份开会向全体党员及社区居民代表宣布：“首尔大酒店工程韩国人已经移交给咱社区了，林峰想霸占你们同意吗？”2013年11月19日山东省高级人民法院终审判决：维持原判，我胜诉！在法律事实面前，这位领导善于伪装、欺骗社区广大居民的惯用伎俩露馅了，他与本社区居民纪玉×相互勾结、提供虚假证据、漏洞百出，最终原形毕露。其行为已涉嫌诈骗罪，因害怕受到法律的惩罚，而匆匆辞职。
亲爱的社区居民们，我们社区身处城阳区的'黄金位置，拥有得天独厚的条件。但是我们社区居民的福利待遇相比相邻其他社区，却是最差的。为什么呢？我想广大社区居民心里都应该非常清楚，“因为有人损害了我们每个人的利益”。例如：旧村改造腾出的土地违背承诺出让，损失2.3亿元；利用职务之便侵占中联手机城项目致使社区居民利益损失几千万元等等。作为小北曲社区居民，我深感痛心。关于网络上的《3亿书记》之事，直至现在这位领导也不敢公开出来辟谣，开民主议事会不敢公开财务账目、社区居民提出的问题也不敢答复。
我坚信2014年将是我们小北曲社区居民美好、充满希望之年，我们居民的损失一定会争取回来，各项福利待遇、股份才会更上一层楼，生活会更加幸福。最后请允许我给全体社区居民拜个早年，祝大家身体健康！家庭幸福！万事如意！
