春天来了，院子里还有一片空地，妈妈见那空地空着也是空着，还不如种些青菜呢!于是妈妈就在那片空地上撒了黄瓜、西红柿、苦瓜、豆角等蔬菜籽。没过几天，这些种子就陆续发芽了，它们从泥土里钻里出来，伸展开两瓣嫩嫩的绿叶，它们一天天长大，不断地增加新的绿叶。我们一家人给它们浇水、施肥、捉虫，照顾得十分周到。
夏天到了，各种蔬菜都在孕育着果实，它们一天天长大，渐渐成熟。西红柿的果实像一盏盏小红灯笼压满枝架，一串串弯月亮似的豆角一直坠到地面。秋天来临，黄瓜架上又爬满了顶黄花、带满刺的黄瓜，苦瓜也爬满了墙头，等着我们来摘。冬天降临了，绿油油的大白菜又被扣在了棚里。经过我们一家人的努力，一年四季我们都吃到了自己的劳动果实，我们一家人心里自然美滋滋的，特别开心。
