几年前，一位好友劝我读一读在美畅销排行榜的一本好书《相约星期二》，它会给你带来一定的启发，改变自己对人生的看法。出于好奇和期盼，周末的一天，我走进新华书店，在新书架上找到了这本书，一个老头，一个年轻人，和一堂人生的课，一个感动整个世界的故事，从此让我改变了自己对人生的看法。
《相约星期二》的作者米奇。阿尔博姆是一位美国一位颇有成就的专栏作家、电台主持，他得知自己最尊敬的老教授莫里身患不治之症，在前往探视中与老教授相约每周二，在与莫里教授相伴的最后十四个星期里，米奇。阿尔博姆聆听莫里教授最后的教诲，他们聊到了许多的人生问题多，如何面对他人，如何面对爱，如何面对恐惧，如何面对家庭，以及感情及婚姻，金钱与文化，衰老与亡，人生是莫里教授的临终一课。这持续了十四周的人生课题，直到莫里教授的逝去。米奇。阿尔博姆将莫里教授的醒世箴言谈话内容编辑成册，书名《相约星期二》。

也许是人生的卷轴刚刚翻开的缘故吧，我总是问自己：“人为什么要活着?”、“人生的意义在哪里”，“为什么我活着，有的人却了?”这是十几岁岁左右的人最爱问的问题。到了爸爸妈妈的年龄，人们大多已经为家庭奔波的不成样子了，不屑或不敢再问这样的问题。但是，在一些意想不到的时刻，它还会悄然从心底冒出。这千古之谜，有谁能说得清楚呢?就是那些大哲学家，他们的回答也常常十分高妙“仙答”却并不解决我们凡人的问题。一位老人，在临终之前，通过他的学生，向我们提供了一份人生的答卷。
当时买这本书时，并不是因为写着余秋雨的推荐做序，而是这个问题深深地吸引了我，人生刚开始，更渴望了解人生。
有的人在突如其来的灾祸中去，或在某个黑夜里静静地离开，中国人会面无表情地说地说：好，好，至少不是在开膛破肚时去的。但是，当得知了自己在某一天会离开这个充满眷恋的世界时，这时他的心理大概可想而知，有人颤抖，有人饮泣，有人崩溃，有人在痴痴的笑，也有人未服从命运的安排，自己在大限之前解决了自己。因为，人们所说的“受罪”不仅是病痛的种种折磨，更是等待亡的种种心态，因为等的时候，心里永远比的一刹那更痛苦。所以，中国传统文化中提及的因果报应，如果有个人此生成就了种种善举，那么他最好的结局就是“无疾而终”。
当我们两只脚踏上人生的起点时，终点就是亡。无论伟人还是凡人，终究是会去的。后来莫里老头儿很潇洒地走了，而他为了学生做的备课内容还没有教授结束，他在天国看着人们，看着人们是否在翻看他的备课笔记，也在看着人们是否接受了他教授的精神。
所以，这本书的最后一句，作者留下的文字是：
“这门课仍在继续。”
“我已经踏上了最后的旅程——人们要我告诉他们该怎样打点行装。”莫里说。

有人说：“人之将，其言也善。”但是在这本书中的这位生命垂危的老人说出的话又何止只是“善”?莫里在他生命垂危时，继续完成作为教授的最后一课。
如果，你说，这只是一本书，那么就大错特错了，准确的说这又何止是一本书、一堂课。这是莫里教授与心灵的对话，这十四节课又何偿不是对于人生的一番彻底醒悟?他无私的把这些分享给了我们，在他的面前，我们都是人生这门课程的学生!(对!我们都有幸成为这样的学生!亡永远让我们恐惧，当我们知道生命快要结束了的时候，又会做些什么呢?也许现在我们无从得知。但是显然莫里教授选择的是好好的活下去，带着乐观和笑容继续活下去!
面对他我们是多么的渺小，甚至到现在还有那么多人拼命想结束这看似毫无意义的生命，这种人是可耻的、无知的，他们从来不会感恩，从来不会学会去爱别人，这种人苟活在世界上又有什么意义?就这样结束了，他们想过家人的感受吗，以为以这种方式结束就可以摆脱一切吗?不，当看到家人悲痛欲绝的时候，你逃得了心灵的谴责吗，面对生命与爱，这一切都太渺小了。
莫里依旧活着，在每个人的心灵深处上着这个关于人生与亡的大课!
