阿里称，通常情况下，当人们思考多元宇宙时会认为，平行宇宙理论诠释了量子力学，发现其中一个的时候，其他宇宙就会发生坍缩，因此无法进行测试。“这是哲学而不是科学，我们所说的是真正的平行宇宙，是在额外维度中存在的真正宇宙。”他说。
论文称，由于引力能够流出我们当前所在的宇宙进入额外维度，这样的模型可以通过迷你黑洞在LHC中进行检测。因此，借助引力虹理论（一种尚未写入教科书的新理论）就能检测并计算出产生迷你黑洞所需的\'能量。如果在预测的能量级别上发现迷你黑洞，就能证明引力虹和额外维度是真实存在的。
众所周知，LHC已经试图制造出迷你黑洞，但一直未能成功。在论文中研究人员对此进行了解释，他们认为这是因为在四个维度中产生黑洞所需的能量远大于目前LHC所能达到的能级。此外，目前实验中用来预测黑洞产生所需能量时采用的引力模型是不太准确的，且并未考虑量子效应。根据爱因斯坦的广义相对论，引力可以被看作是空间和时间的曲率。我们宇宙中的引力能够以某种方式流入额外维度。科学家们指出，空间和时间的几何形态在普朗克尺度下会发生畸变。他们已经使用引力虹理论，对临近普朗克尺度时时间和空间的变化进行了证明，并预测在那里会出现迷你黑洞。
利用引力虹理论，科学家们发现，在LHC中产生迷你黑洞所需的能量比先前认为的要多一点点。到目前为止，LHC已经对5.3TeV以下的能量做了测试。根据引力虹理论，这些能量还是稍微低了点。模型预测要在6维度空间产生黑洞需要9.5TeV的能量，而在10个维度中产生则需要11.9TeV的能量。由于LHC未来设计达到的能量级别可达14TeV，因此通过它制造出一个迷你黑洞还是可能的。
论文称，如果迷你黑洞是在LHC中发现的话，那就可以支持多种思路：平行宇宙、额外维度、弦理论和万有引力彩虹——后两种理论都是受到量子引力的影响。
阿里说，如果LHC能在预计的能量等级中探测到迷你黑洞，这不仅会证明额外维度和平行宇宙的存在，也将解决著名的黑洞信息悖论问题。解决这个悖论是可能的，因为，在引力虹模式，迷你黑洞有最小半径是它所收缩不了的。然而如果没能在预测能量水平检测到黑洞，科学家将需要对上述进行重新的思考。这意味着以下三种可能性中只有一种为真：一、额外额度不存在；二、额外维度存在，但小于预期；三、引力虹的参数需要修改。在理论物理学的世界里，永远只有一个解释，这同样也适用于这个问题。
