到了车站，妈妈跟我解释说，火车车种分许多种，水上南靖是个小站，所以我们只能搭“区间车”这种较慢速的火车。随后我们进了月台，月台好大，南下北上的火车又那幺多，看得我眼花撩乱，要不是妈妈的说明，要在那儿搭车我还真的搞不清楚呢！
火车来了，带着期待的心情坐下来，时而跟哥哥、姐姐分享此刻的心情，时而欣赏窗外的`景致，真是个好山好水的好地方，沿途的田园风光美不胜收、一览无遗，以往车水马龙的公路另有一番风貌；经过平交道时，想到以往等火车通过，数火车车厢有几节的的兴奋心情，与现在的感受截然不同，原来搭火车就是这样奇妙的感觉。旅程总是有尽头的，再怎么依依不捨还是会结束的，下了火车，站在小小的南靖站上，跟嘉义市的大月台真是不可同日而语，但却有另一番宁静与淳朴的美感，不若大都市的拥挤与喧嚣。
出了车站，我迫不及待冲过去想告诉爸爸刚刚搭火车的心情，虽然短短的十几分钟，但是这是我第一次搭火车，不一样的视野、不一样的体验，所以让我久久都不能忘怀。
