那以前吃得怎么样呢？听爷爷奶奶说，他们小时候吃的太差了。每天就是红薯片、野菜，没有东西吃的时候，要靠花生根磨成淀粉填饱肚子。让我们看看现在吃的东西吧：白米白面不用说，到鼓楼夜市上走走看看，开封一楼的包子、新疆的羊肉串、广东的甘蔗汁……小吃都会让你眼花缭乱。许多小朋友平时喜欢吃的西餐食品也不少：肯德基、德克士。也许可能还想尝尝麦当劳，可能开封现在还没有。以前人们住的条件很差。普通人家住的都是自己建造的房子，里生外熟，就是墙里面用的是泥坯，墙外面用的自己烧制的蓝砖头。三四十平方米大小，里面经常阴暗潮湿。你想，一家几代人挤在那么小的房子里，能不生病吗？富裕的人家也强不多少，也不过房子比普通人家大一点，吃的好一点。你看看现在，家家都往小区里搬，富裕的.人家还有小洋楼别墅呢！那时候，有的人家已经有了水箱煤火，但是也要等到冬天冷的时候才用，那像现在，只要稍微有点冷就把暖气或者空调打开了。最可怜的是，那时候广大的农村没有电，当然看不上电视了，就是看一场电影也要跑好几里路呢！现在我们家家都有彩电、电脑。mp3、mp4成了大人和小朋友的好玩意了。从前，农村根本就不通公路，城市的主干道也常常是坑坑洼洼，人们出行大多都是步行。如果下点雨，出远门可就惨了，那飞溅起来的泥水随时都会亲吻你衣服和小脸。现在不但我们城里的马路又宽又平，农村的路也铺上柏油了。人们出门骑着自行车、电动车、摩托车，还可以坐公交、打的。很多富裕的人家已经用有了自家的小汽车。
