nowadays, we can see some boys and girls who live in a small world of their own. they bury themselves among books and are proud of themselves. they think that it will make them lose their face if they do housework for they often think themselves very noble.
these young people are wrong. in my opinion every student should have a knowledge of housework. after all, they will have a family of their own, and they should do their part in keeping a good home. boys should also learn to do housework, for what will they do if they remain single? though not all boys remain single,yet they will be very helpful in the family if they know some housework. anyhow they will not lose anything, but, on the contrary, they will gain something useful.
for what i said above, we can find some eamples of our fellow-students studying abroad. all young men do housework as girls do. someone would argue that we can employ servants. this is true.however, what shall we do if the servant leaves us and all things are left to ourselves? we just cannot leave our clothes as they are and let worms and ants eat them up. and what can we do it we go and study in a foreign country where servants are out our means to employ? we must work for ourselves. why not start to learn to do housework now or else it will be too late? everyone should learn to do housework. what do you think about my idea, boys and girls?

今天我们班要进行一场激烈的跳绳比赛。王老师先把我们分成了甲乙两组，我被分到了乙组，我们每个人都蠢蠢欲动的想大显身手一番。同学们先像模像样的做起了热身运动，有的同学在伸伸手，有的同学在弯弯腰，还有的同学在压压腿……还真起劲啊!
老师的一声里令下长绳比赛开始了，甲组的第一个跳的是李双。她像一只兔子跳到绳中央，敏捷地蹦了上去，又像一只轻盈的小燕子“飞”进那舞动的长绳中，又像一条鲤鱼跃出水面，犹如一朵绽放的莲花在飞舞，一连跳了一百多个。大家陆陆续续的进行长绳比赛。
接着，轮到短绳比赛了，闪亮登场的我兴高采烈地跳了起来，紧握着的绳子发出了嗖、嗖、嗖的声音。不一会儿，哎哟!
我那不争气的肚子痛了起来了，我在心里想，真倒霉啊!怎么在这个时候肚子痛了。我拼命的屏住呼吸，任凭大颗大颗的汗水从脸颊上流下来。真是难熬的一分钟啊!
我才跳了七十八下，真是让我失望。
一会儿，到我们组的徐欣琪跳了。只见她的脚尖像蜻蜓点水一样地弹触地面，轻盈利落。绳子不断地从她的头上擦过，好似银蛇游动，又如波浪翻滚。看得我们眼花缭乱，目不暇接。我在旁边数着一百、一百零一……啊!
一连就跳了二百多下。我们不约而同地为他鼓掌。
比赛结束，老师公布了我们的成绩，他们组成了我们组的手下败将了，他们心里很难过，老师语重心长得对他们说：“这次比赛失败了，不要灰心，要把它变成前进的动力，争取以后取得胜利。”接着，老师又对我们说：“胜利了，不要骄傲。更要继续努力，保持我们的荣誉。”“下一次的比赛谁会是王者?”老师大声的问大家。我们齐声说：“我!”
通过这次比赛，我又明白了“胜不骄，败不馁，勇往直前”的道理。

Second, as there is much free time, they can make use of it and gain the valuable experience. Students can join some clubs to develop more interest, or find part-time jobs. It is better than to stay in the dorm and play computer games all the time.

星期四下午，我们五年级在操场上举行了一次紧张激烈的跳绳比赛。
当第二节下课铃响过，我们便排着整齐的队伍，个个精神抖擞地来到操场。操场上人声鼎沸，同学们个个都摩拳擦掌，跃跃欲试，充满信心地等待着比赛的开始。
只听一声哨响，比赛开始了，首先是1班、7班和20班的同学出场。虽然20班摇绳的同学很用力，跳的同学也很卖力，但是只他们跳了四十多下。轮到17班了，他们从座位上走了出来，个个神气十足，兴奋跳跃，好象冠军已经是他们似的。我的眼睛紧紧盯着他们，呼吸都快忘记了。可是他们班的同学非常厉害，跳得很有节奏，随着场外同学们的数数“五十九，六十，六十一……六十九”“ 轰”的`一声，场外响起雷鸣般的掌声。
我的心情不由得紧张起来，因为我也是参赛同学之一。如果跳得不好，会影响我们班名次的。旁边的同学也开始打退堂鼓。这时，班主任顾老师走过来，叮嘱我们要沉着，不要紧张。听了老师的话，同学们都充满了信心。
这时，只听裁判老师"嘟"的一声哨响，比赛开始了，我们随着绳子的甩动，开始有节奏地跳起来。刚开始，我们跳得不是很顺利，常常被绳子绊倒……我们开始有点失望。再看看场下的老师和同学们都一个劲儿地为我们加油、鼓劲：“加油!加油!”此时此刻，我才真正地感受到了集体的力量。可是，今天我们的同学也许由于紧张，也许是因为准备工作没做好，老是跳错，因此而耽误了不少时间。有时候，我也会被绳子绊倒。我真恨自己为什么老跳不好，拖我们班级的后腿，心情不由得慌张起来，脚下的动作也就更乱了。就在这时，我耳边响起了同学们的加油声：“522，加油!522，加油!”听到同学们的鼓励声，我感动极了，暗暗告诉自己：要沉着不要紧张，坚持住，坚持住!坚持就是胜利，我们一定要将成绩追上去。说来也巧，我们班在这剩下的时间内居然只是跳错了几次。可是，正在我们找到窍门跳得起劲的时候，再一次被绳子绊倒了......此时，比赛结束的哨子“嘟”的一声吹响了，比赛时间到了。很可惜，由于我们出错较多，最终只跳了57下。
最后，我们班以57下的总成绩获得了三等奖。我们虽然没拿到一等奖，但我们今天玩得很开心，重在参与嘛!
