My mum is not only a good teacher, but also a great mother. She is patient with me and always smiling while talking. My mum teaches me how to think independently and helps me to build up my confidence. When I have some difficulties in my studies, it is my mum who encourages me to work until I solve the problem. When I’m feeling sad or bad, it is also my mum who looks after me with care.
I remember when I caught a fever at midnight last year, my mum took me to the hospital as fast as she could. When we got home after my injection, it was about 5 o’clock in the early morning. My mum only slept 2 hours because she had to wake up at 7 o’clock to prepare breakfast for me, and then she went to work. She must be very tired that day.
My mum is not very beautiful, but I admire and love her.

诚信是一种人人必备的优良品格，一个人讲诚信，就代表了他是一个讲文明的人。讲诚信的人，处处受欢迎；不讲诚信的人，人们会忽视他的存在；所以，我们每个人都要讲诚信。诚信是为人之道，是立身处事之本。
那人为什么要诚信呢？因为诚信处处在我们的身边。首先呢，诚信是立人之本，子曰：人而无信，不知其可也。认为人若不讲信用，在社会上就无立足之地，什么事情也做不成。
其次呢，诚信是齐家之道，唐代着名大臣魏微说过夫妇有恩矣，不诚则离。只要夫妻、父子和兄弟之间以诚相待，诚实守信，就能和睦相处，达到家和万事兴的目的。若家人彼此缺乏诚信、互不信任，家庭便会逐渐四分五裂。然后呢，诚信是交友之基，只有与朋友交，言而有信，才能达到朋友信之、推心置腹、无私帮助的目的。否则，朋友之间充满虚伪、欺骗，就绝不会有真正的`朋友，朋友是建立在诚信的基础上。
接着呢，，《左传》云：信，国之宝也。指出诚信是治国的根本法宝。孔子在足食、足兵、民信三者中，宁肯去兵、去食，也要坚持保留民信。因为孔子认为民无信不立，如果人民不信任统治者，国家朝政根本立不住脚。因此，统治者必须取信于民，正如王安石所言：自古驱民在信诚，一言为重百金轻。然后呢，诚信是经商之魂，在现代社会，商人在签订合约时，都会期望对方信守合约。诚信更是各种商业活动的最佳竞争手段，是市场经济的灵魂，是企业家的一张真正的金质名片。
最后呢，，古语云：反身而诚，乐莫大焉。只有做到真诚无伪，才可使内心无愧，坦然宁静，给人带来最大的精神快乐，是人们安慰心灵的良药。人若不讲诚信，就会造成社会秩序混乱，彼此无信任感，后患无穷。正如《吕氏春秋·贵信》篇所说，如果君臣不讲信用，则百姓诽谤朝廷、国家不得安宁；做官不讲信用，则少不怕长，贵贱相轻；赏罚无信，则人民轻易犯法，难以施令；交友不讲信用，则互相怨恨，不能相亲；百工无信，则手工产品质量粗糙，以次充好，丹漆染色也不正。可见失信对社会的危害何等大啊！综观而言，诚信对于自我修养、齐家、交友、营商以至为政，都是一种不可缺少的美德，可见诚信在人类社会中是非常重要的。
