在农村，农民家通常将稻草、麦秆在地里烧掉，释放出了滚滚浓烟。大量的烟雾对环境造成了极大的污染，有时甚至还会妨碍飞机的航行。
麦秆在旷野燃烧时，既浪费了能源，又污染了环境，排放出了大量的二氧化碳，影响人们的身体健康，对鸟类也是一种威胁。我曾看到有人在大樟树下烧油菜杆，熊熊的烈火把大樟树都烧干了一半，大樟树的上空还架着电线，多危险呀！
我国农村那么辽阔，无垠的稻、麦、玉米、高粱、大豆等的杆，要是把这些杆都再利用起来，把它们用机器粉碎后加工成压缩燃料（既可烧锅炉，又可供居民日常生活作燃料）。既创造了财富，又保护了环境不受污染，这岂不是变废为宝，一举两得了吗？
虽然我国国土辽阔，但我们要确保十三亿的.人的衣食住行。我们的生活富裕了，但能源能不能持续跟上呢？希望大家能够利用废物，节约地球能源，善待地球环境，从身边的小事做起，从我做起，保护环境。还要呼吁大家共同保护赖以生存的家园！
