从前，有一条小河，河水清澈见底，鱼虾在水底悠闲歌唱。水底的石头上长出一些水藻，好像穿上了绿衣。
每到周末，小河边就会来一些客人。他们打开背包，从里面拿出水果、面包、点心等，一边吃一边欣赏美丽的风景——河边有绿草地，草地上开满了叫不出名的野花，好像是一大块花地毯；紧接着草地有一片树林，再那边是一座青青的小山，山上有兔子、野鸡等小动物，还不时传来布谷鸟的叫声。
几个月后，这里却不再美丽了。虽然小河、草地都在，但是草地上到处是果核、废旧电池、空易拉灌；河边的树上挂满了塑料袋等垃圾；小河里漂浮着汽水瓶、饮料盒……
又过了几个月，小河成了一家公司的污水排放区，每天有大量浓浓的污水排放到小河里。鱼虾渐渐地去了，就连河边的树木也都被一些木材公司的人砍走了。
又过了几天，黄沙婆婆和狂风公公带领着无数的小灰尘占领了这个地方，他们肆无忌惮、狂魔乱舞。
可怜的小河在哭泣，哭的那么伤心。不过她也很幸运，因为”儿童环保组“发现她受了伤害，他们赶走了黄沙婆婆和狂风公公，他们帮助小河重现新颜。
小河又绽开了灿烂的笑脸。

昔日的荷花不见了。人们不停的向我身体里扔垃圾，泼污水……
人们见了我，都捂着鼻子，说：’真脏，真臭，恶心了!‘’这里的鱼虾都绝种了‘，听着他们的议论，再看看我的身体，我多难过呀!“
听了小河的话，我深感触动，很惭愧，我发自内心的说：”保护我们的家园吧，不要再让小河哭泣了，这是我们共同的家园!“
