《物种起源》是达尔文论述“生物进化”的重要著作，此书大概是19世纪最具争议的著作，其中的观点大多数为当今的科学界普遍接受。书中，达尔文首次提出进化论的观点。他使用自己在1830年代环球科学考察中积累的资料，试图证明五=物种的演化是通过自然选择和人工选择的方式实现的。
什么是生命的起源？这是书中最基础的问题。
达尔文相信，所有的物种都由简单的生命单位演变而来，但是，最初的生命到底是怎么来的呢？一个被常人忽略的事实使达尔文认为——生命是被创造的。在阅读当中，我发现这样一个结论，达尔文在经过类比以后得出结论，所有在地球上的有机生物都是起源于一个共同的原始生命，而这个原始生命则是“被吹了一口气”而来的。
我们可以从这一结论中知道，达尔文所倡导的是所谓的“创造进化论”，这也是部分基督徒所接受的理论。
《物种起源》这本书中不仅是“生物进化论”值得我们敬佩、学习，还有更多的观点：“自然选择说”“遗传变异”“过度繁殖”“生存斗争”，我们都要去好好学习。这本书让我受益匪浅，懂得了许多科学的奥妙。
