Dear editors of English Weekly，
Now I want to tell you something about wild animals。There are a lot of wild animals living on the same earth with us。They are our friends and neighbors。However，some of them are dying out everyday because of the damages we humans have been doing to the environment。And the situation is still going worse and worse。For one thing，someone killed the tigers and sold their skins to make money。They must be punished。I think we should all be responsible for that and realize that it is our everyone's duty to protect the wild animals。They have their right to live just as our human beings。We should treat them with love and care，respect the law of nature and share the same land with them!Let try our best to make a happy home for human beings and animals。

As is often read in the newspaper reports， wild life especially the rare species is threatened with extinction。 Human beings are XXX attempts to hunt wild animals for a big profit。， which， of course， results in a sharp decrease in the number of animals。 So it is high time for us to take quick action to protect them。 First of all， it's quite necessary for every citizen to realize the importance of animal protection。 Only by knowing its importance can people develop a sense of responsibility。 People will surely take it for granted to have the duty to prevent any killing of wild animals。 So a national publicity campaign should be launched， thus giving animals a good living environment。 In addition， the government should pass some laws to forbid any hunting of rare animals。 We don't expect anything harmful to wild life to happen again。
If everyone is involved in the protection of wild life， we're sure man will be a good friend of animals rather than their enemy。

阳阳队的钱韵多、孙悟空和诸葛亮将对抗光光队的王海栋、哈利波特和曹操。
早上的八点三十五分零十二秒，阳光喔的拔河比赛就正式开始了。阳阳队的队员们个个昂首挺胸，挥舞着他们的帽子，还不停地为他们第一个参赛的队员钱韵多加油着。光光队也趾高气扬，敲着他们的易拉罐，不停地喊着：“王海栋——加――油！王海栋——加――油！”
王海栋头戴棒球帽，身穿运动服，脚上也穿了一双耐克牌的运动鞋。他眉头紧皱，盯着钱韵多。随着老师的一声令下，他拽着粗粗的绳子，拼命地向他那边拉去。他的身子稍稍向前倾斜，还咬着牙，仿佛要把他那一嘴小白牙都咬碎了似的。他心想：你这个小瘦子，肯定赢不了这场比赛。
钱韵多因为近视，戴上了小眼镜。他一开始拉得还好，可是后来，由于他身子瘦，再加上他的不足，被王海栋拉得连吼带叫。他转过身来想往他那边拉，可他还没拉呢，就被王海栋又拽了回去，终于败下阵来。
过了一会儿，只见孙悟空头戴一顶凤翅紫金冠，身穿锁子黄金褂，脚蹬一双藕丝青云履，看着跟他实力相当的\'对手――哈利波特。突然，哈利波特施了个咒语“啊不啦咔西轰！”一声令下，一个叫光轮2000的飞天扫帚在空中出现了。
孙悟空也施了个魔法，把金箍棒变得巨大无比，然后把绳子缠在金箍棒上对哈利波特说：“看你哪一天能够把绳子！”哈利波特骑在扫帚上，把绳子的另一端缠在扫帚头上，使劲地往他那边飞。他们就这样折腾了两天两夜。最后，陈老师眯缝着眼睛走过来，对他们说：“我宣布――这次比赛平局――”
紧接着，诸葛亮迈着沉重的步子，他头戴纶巾，身披鹤氅，手里拿着鹅毛羽扇，大摇大摆地走了过来。正在这时，将要跟他比赛的曹操早已做好了充分的心理准备。诸葛亮闭上眼睛，用他新发明的八卦一算：一分钟后将有东南风加西北风加龙卷风加台风，对诸葛亮拔河有利。
曹操看见诸葛亮正在算些什么，心里暗想到：胡思乱想去吧，你一个人怎么能拔过我带的一百万精兵呢？！比赛开始了，曹操带来的一百万精兵开始喊起了他们的口号：“负的零点一二三！负的零点一二三！”他们一边喊，一边拉。诸葛亮的八卦似乎失灵了，天空中一丝微风也没有。拔河比赛的结果可想而知。
最后，诸葛亮把一架不知用了多少年的古琴搬到了操场的正中间，开始演起他在几千年前写的空城计。但是，此时此刻，空城计却失去了它的威力。最后曹操终于获胜了。
经过三轮激烈的比赛，最终光光队获得了冠军。
