如果没有书，瓦特的蒸汽机就无法飞速地转动，更别说工业革命的爆发，人们仍然只能原始的通过手工工作着；如果没有书，张衡何以发明地动仪。李时珍何以撰写《本草纲目》。祖冲之何以计算出圆周率；如果没有书，飞船，火箭，卫星就无法离开地面进入太空，电脑也无法千里传送信息，磁悬浮列车更无法奔跑在大地上，人类又何以步入高科技。信息化，全球化的今天？是的，因为有书我们才有了无穷的力量，去建设一个更加美好的明天。

前者往往会成为一个遵纪守法的公民，居社会上层；而后者往往成了为了丁点大的事而大打出手触犯法律。我想监狱应该是他们度过后半生的地方。可见书对一个人的成长，发展，良好性格的形成是至关重要的。如果没有了书，人类如何发展，如何创造？没有了书，人类只能趋于落后，趋于灭亡。
如果没有了书，就没有欣欣向荣的世界，就没有现在充满道德与法律的社会，就没有这样丰硕的科技成果，更没有这样一个聪明的我坐在这里称赞书的美好。
