My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. 我的家乡在黄埔，我最爱的地方是黄埔公园。那里风景如画，是市民休闲的好去处。
不一会儿，我们就来到了黄埔公园。黄埔公园的大门是棕红色的，仿佛像一艘艘巨轮随时准备扬帆起航。门前刻着“黄埔公园”四个金光闪闪的大字，在金黄色太阳的照耀下，显得格外耀眼。大门前面是一排排花坛，花坛中开满了五颜六色鲜花，红的`似火，粉的似霞，白的似雪，黄的似金……一阵风吹过，一股清香扑鼻而来，花儿在风中频频点头，让你赏心悦目。花香吸引了一只只蜜蜂，它们嗡嗡地唱着歌儿，蝴蝶在花丛中跳起了欢快的舞蹈。
