不过，一味地安分守己无异于安之若命。试问多少人将所谓的安然洒脱视为自信，行之蹈之，最后纵有千般才华，却无从摆脱“伤仲永”般令人扼腕的结局?自信并非戴摩西尼甘于口吃而沦为二流演说家，亦非尼采止步深刻的哲思而终任语言学教授，而是前者面朝大海的.衔石苦练，后者面对真理朝臣式的上下求索。由是观之，自信之刚需不止于坚守自我，还应当超拔自我。唯有不断超拔，才能坚守更好的自己，才能拔出如“举世皆浊我独清”一般的自信的底气。
海明威一席话振聋发聩：“真正的高贵不是优于别人,而是优于过去的自己。”“不优于别人”，乃安分守己，对自我内心的孜孜以求;“优于自己”，乃挑战自己，对自己潜能的探赜索隐——真正的自信者便是将二者一以贯之的人。正如《摔跤吧!爸爸》里的女性摔跤手吉塔，面对歧视时从未抛弃自己，面临挑战时从未畏葸不前，最后终于摘得世界桂冠 ;又如《肖申克的救赎》里的安迪，在囹圄中坚守内心的自由与希望，又挑战着自己的极限，以十九年光阴为其昭雪沉冤。他们的眼里，闪烁的是自信的光芒。
因此，安然与野心非二极端，而是阿兰·德波顿所言“对身份漠不关心和趋之若鹜的一种平衡”。夫唯如此，人方能于“通往自己的道路”中自信而前。

Beloved father:
It’s a long time no contacting with you since last e-mail. And I miss you so much. Recently I luckily turn to the third officer working on board MV Blue Whale,which is a container ship. I intend to introduce you what Ido on this big vessel in this letter.
I am the third officer working in the deck department. As you know, the third officer is responsible to the master for the proper performance of his assigned bridge watchstanding and navigational duties.
On board, my first daily work is wathckeeping from 8 to 12 and from 20 to 24. my second daily work is in charge of the maintance of the fire-fighting equipment and life-saving equipment. The third , I am also responsible for fire and boat drills, I have to design a muster list and make crew to know the best escape route clearly. Additionally, there are also some simple things I have to do in daily work. For example, I have to assist the Chief Officer in supervising cargo handling operation 、to measure the draft at the discretion of the Chief Officer or the Master、to assist the Master on the bridge with anchoring and mooring and unmooring operation is underway and so on.
In the end, I strongly believed that you must be very familiar with my special work through what I said. And I hope you can stand my back and make me stronger. We will have a reunion soon.

Although we can only keep in touch with each other by the telephone or the Internet, I wish I could let you know how much I love you and how much I’ve appreciated the things you’ve done for me. It is never too much to say thank you to you, my dear parents.
First and the most important is that thank you for bringing me to this world. During the 20 years, you have done a lot for me, but I haven’t realized how much I love you until I left home to the university. I understand how much effort you have cost to bring me up. Now, I have grown up, I can look after you.
Second, I want to thank you that you give me a good environment to grow up. There is an old saying “Parents are the first teacher to their children”. In my life, you are the typical ones. Because of your good examples I formed the good habit of learning at an early age which benefits my life.
At last, I want to say “thank you” is that you always support my choice. You never forced me to do anything I was not interested in. You told me to pursuit my own dreams without hesitation and you would support me forever. You also told me to how to be a human. Now I become an optimistic and cheerful girl and I feel happy every day.

一天，在他们旁边增加了一种食物，说自己是人类最喜欢的的食物之一，并把自己富含的各种营养成分介绍的很清楚。洋葱披着长发说：“那个身上像长满钉子一样的怪物，说自己是人类最喜欢的`食物，大家相信吗？”，“它吹牛，它吹牛，把他轰出去，”西红柿不服气地说。就在这时有一位老太太走到商人面前说：“我要2斤玉米，”说完，商人就给老太太称了2斤玉米，老太太高高兴兴地走了。这时，玉米回过头来看着它们高兴地说：“你们刚才不相信我的话，现在相信吧？有人要把我带回家了！”
“他不是食物。”洋葱还在生气。
“它吹牛，它吹牛”西红柿嚷嚷道。
那天下午，老太太又来到它们面前，带走了葱和西红柿，一进门，它们就看到了玉米，老太太给它们洗完澡后，和玉米一起放进油锅超出了一盘香喷喷的菜。
小朋友，请你想一想，它们最后相信玉米的话了吗？
