One day, Paula and Richard decided to make a kite.
First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.

半年前的一堂游戏课，刘老师带着一张贴在小黑板上的没有鼻子的米老鼠大画像走进教室，说：“这米老鼠也太淘气！，今天在唐老鸭家做客，只顾吃，吃的太多，胀圆了身子，不小心滚到桌子下，摔掉了鼻子。它请同学们帮它安好鼻子，如果谁能帮它接好鼻子，它就和谁交朋友。”刘老师一边说一边把一袋巧克力放在讲台上：“这就是米老鼠给朋友的礼物。”刘老师一说完，我们都笑了，知道要做什么游戏了。
游戏开始前，刘老师叫金晶扮米老鼠，站在画像后面。
游戏开始了，我们多想跟米老鼠交朋友啊！都纷纷举起手。李昆的'手举得最高，争到了第一个和米老鼠交朋友的机会。只见他像一只活泼的小猴，做了一个鬼脸，走到讲台前。“米老鼠”娇声娇气地问：“你是谁能给我安好鼻子吗？”
“我叫小明，能给你安好鼻子。”小明大声回答。
“好吧，快给我安吧。”
李昆拿起米老鼠的鼻子，仔细观察了一会，接着就蒙上眼睛。他一步一步地走到米老鼠画像前，小心翼翼地在画像上定位，时而往左，时而往右，时而往上，时而往下。我们部替他着急，一个劲地给他提示：“向上点！”
“往右一点！”
“再上一点！”
可他不知听谁的好，估计时间要到了，他来不及再摸这儿摸那儿了，千早把鼻子粘上去了。还没等他把手放下来，
同学们一阵哄堂大笑。刘老师给他揭开蒙带，他才知道把鼻子安到眼睛上去了。“米老鼠”哭着脸说：“你是个说大话的孩子，不但没安好我的鼻子，反而弄瞎了我的眼睛，不和你交朋友了。”教室里又是一阵大笑，小明红着脸笑着走上了座位。
紧接着，又有好几个同学找米老鼠交朋友，可是谁也没交上，不是把鼻子安在耳朵上，就是安在嘴巴上，还有二个同学安在它的脚上。我们都愉快极了，发出一阵一阵的笑声。
“小明”刘老师终于点到了我的名字，我高兴极了，大摇大摆地走上前。
“米老鼠”问：“你也来给我安鼻子，会吗？”
我卷卷衣袖，神气地回答：“我是鼻科医生，你这小毛病好治！”
米老鼠”笑了笑：“那就看你的啦！”我用手摸摸这儿，摸摸那儿，终于摸到了一小块没有广告粉的地方，我双手用力按。“安上了！”“安上了！”只听见同学们的掌声、喝彩声。我一下子扯下蒙带。哟！安得多准啦！
“米老鼠”太高兴了，赶快跳了起来，握住我的手连声说：“谢谢你刘医生。”接着把那包巧克力塞在我手中
说：“我俩交上朋友啦！”我高兴极了，跳着说：：“是啊，我是你的好朋友啦。”老师和同学们都为我交上朋友而高兴。
自从和米老鼠交上了朋友的那天起，我就把它接到我家来“住”下了。现在，每当我看见这张米老鼠的画像，就
自然而然地想起那好玩的交朋友游戏。

Dear parents,
“You always say that I am naive. In your eyes, I am always the little girl who will never grow up”. This is my favorite song and also the sound from the bottom of my heart. You made me feel so lucky to be your child. But I find our hearts getting further apart as time goes by.
You strictly forbid me to do entertaining activities even if I finished my homework, such as watching TV or playing computer games. Based on this, I couldn’t get any grade less than A. It is said that genius only means hard-working all one’s life. But I think combining exertion is the best way for learning.
The most important thing to me was that I feel frustrated for having few friends to confide in due to your strict rules. I can’t have a play date, participate in a school play or even choose my own extracurricular activities. Who will accept such a boring and troublesome person? I am just an ordinary girl who can’t stand loneliness, so I always feel contradictory.
On the one hand, I’m grateful to have you in my life, to disappoint you was the least I would do. On the other hand, what you asked for me made me felt like a puppet rather than a real person. I appreciated your efforts to pull me away from a self-indulgent life, but your obsessively extravagant strictness has pushed me into an isolated and insensible one. I need a little freedom so that I will concentrate on something I really interested in.

How is everything these days? I miss you very much.
I am very happy at my new shool. My teachers and shoolmates are very friendly to me .They ofen help me with my study.Now I am not worried about my English because I make a lot of progress in it anb I become more and more intrested in it. My shool life here is also wonderful. I take part in many part-time activities . I make many friends there and learn lots of learning methods.
Now final exam is coming. I am busy preparing it . I will try my best to do well in it.
I am glad that the summer holiday is coming. I want to take part in a GREEN CITY GROUP.I think I should make a contribution to protecting our environment.
It's hot these days but I can take good care of myself.You should pay more attention to your health.
