Please accept my resignation as associate chemist at the GERT Institute. I plan to leave my job here on September 30, 19–, taking a few days of annual leave just prior to that effective date. As you know, my primary interest has been in the oil and gas industry. Therefore, I’ve accepted a position with Fury Refining, Inc., that should put me back in touch with my “first love.” Although I’m eager to accept the challenges in this new position, I regret leaving the institute. 一天放学，妈妈为我整理衣服时，发现了我的.衬衫上的一颗纽扣松动了，她决定为我钉一下。
母亲看见我在专心致志地完成作业，她在抽屉里找针线时不敢弄出一点声响，恐怕打扰了她的儿子。还好，母亲终于发现了一个线管，针就cha(插在线管上，她把它取出来，轻轻地推好抽屉。
这时，妈妈遇到了麻烦，当年的绣花女连针线也穿不上了。一个月前她还为我穿针引线缝被子，现在，明明看见针孔就是穿不进。我看见妈妈的把线头放在嘴里打湿，用右手把它捻得又尖又细，还是失败了。
再试……
线仍未穿进针眼里。
我愣住了，我才想起好久没有和妈妈交流感情了，没有关心过她的衣食起居了。我放下未完成的作业，走到妈妈身边说：“妈，我来帮您！”当我为妈妈穿好线，她用心地为我钉起纽扣来。我看见妈妈的脸上浮出涟漪的笑花，是那样的美。像是在缝合一个美丽的梦。
我知道了我该怎么做了，因为，母亲很容易满足，只要帮她穿一根针线，实现她为你钉一颗纽扣的愿望，使她付出的爱畅通无阻，如此简单。
