今天，我还像往常一样出去买菜。在超市附近的一个十字路口看见了一位老奶奶，老奶奶买了一大袋的水果和蔬菜，正在准备过马路，只见老太太手中拿着袋子体力有点儿不支。绿灯亮了，老奶奶便拿着袋子一步步艰难的行走，过了好长时间才走了几步，时间不等人呀，况且在马路上，这些开车的人都没有“良心”，何况是一个老奶奶呀！这时，老奶奶走到了马路中间，红灯亮了，老奶奶急得要去撞车了，忽然有一个年轻人穿着红衣服上前去帮助那个老奶奶，手里提着东西，搀着老奶奶，最后过了那个马路。这位文明使者就是我们楼上的邻居，他特别喜欢乐于助人，他的这种精神值得我们每个人学习，这就是文明。文明，是可以看得出一个人的品质有多高，即使你只做了一点点的小事，就是我们学习的榜样。
这位叔叔的事迹还不止这一个，又一次，叔叔出去干活，在路上见到了一位卖苹果的.大妈，由于苹果卖不出去，就骑着三轮车在边喊边卖，但她没有发现她，一骑车苹果就掉了一个，叔叔看见了，就拣了起来，他本来想告诉大妈，可大妈离得太远了，叫了几声都没有听见，叔叔帮大妈先拣苹果，等大妈停下来再说。就这样，大妈骑车子，叔叔拣苹果。终于有个买家来买苹果。大妈很高兴，急忙把车停在一边，叔叔见车停了，赶紧把苹果还给大妈，大妈见自己丢了这么多苹果，连忙说了许多声谢谢，叔叔说：“这是我应该做的。”叔叔的这种精神值得我们去学习。如果我们都想叔叔学习乐于助人，那么我们就会永远生活在光明的世界里去了，黑暗也离开了我们。

First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.
