这天下午6点钟，我来到楼顶看日落。这时，太阳已经偏西了，此时地上的树、房子、建筑物都被披上了一层金色的霞光。它那圆圆的轮廊是那么清晰，就像三太子的风火轮一样灿烂。
过了一会儿，太阳的光慢慢减弱。一转眼，它就变成了金黄色的；像是用金子做的一样，挂在天边。渐渐地，金黄色的太阳变成了红色，而且还有紫和青两种颜色在不停地转换，真是五彩缤纷。时间在慢慢地过去，太阳和远处的楼房相距越来越近。它就像一位染色师把那一片片的云彩染成了紫色或红色。太阳在天边停了片刻，又继续落下了。随着黄昏的逝去，红霞也消失了，天渐渐地暗了下来。啊！日落是多么的美丽迷人，千变万化，可惜那么短暂，真是“夕阳无限好，只是近黄昏。”
