Do you ever watch movies from other countries? Whenever I do, I think about how similar people really are all around the world. Even though the cultures and languages in those movies are different from mine, people all around the world are alike in their goals and emotions.
One time, I saw a movie made in china that showed parents helping their children with their homework. . My parents helped me the same way. Another time I saw a movie from Argentina. It showed school children playing hide and seek, which is a game I used to play with my friends during recess. Seeing these films demonstrated to me that education is a common goal in every country. Parents want their children to learn so their lives will improve. It also showed me that children in schools everywhere wants to play with their friends. Sometimes the games are similar to ours and sometimes they’re different. Still, they all have the common purpose of fun and learning to work together.
Earning a living is another common goal. I’ve often seen that in movies about other countries. In some countries, people choose their careers from what they like and are good at. In other countries, careers are chosen for them following the traditions of their families. But in every country it seems that people care a great deal about earning a living, and working hard is respected.
Showing people having fun together is always an important part of any movies, no matter what country it comes from. People everywhere want to be entertained, and want to spend time with their families and friends. Different cultures sometimes enjoy different activities, but all cultures enjoy some form of sports, music and dancing.
The movies I’ve seen make it clear to me that no matter the cultural differences between countries, people everywhere have the same basic needs and goals.

我家里有和蔼的妈妈，有可亲的爸爸，还有调皮捣蛋的我。哦，然而对了我家里还有我那小天地——我的小卧室。
我的妈妈长着一张长长的脸但她的发型对我而言很老土。她有一双一眨一眨的眼睛，她有一个小猪鼻。鼻子下面有一张能说会道的嘴巴。我的妈妈有时和蔼可亲，但有时说变脸就变脸。大家请看下面：那一天早上，我还在睡觉，爸爸上班去了，那妈妈就得出去买饭。
她走的时候，对我还满面笑容，当她再回来的时候，脸早已阴沉沉的了，只给我买回了几根油条。原先，妈妈在买饭的路上，碰见了我同学的妈妈，那同学的妈妈说她儿子每一天背十个单词和一篇作文，背完之后就做题，而且每次都做全对。之后就气冲冲地买了几根油条就回来了。
我问：“那同学叫什么？”妈妈答道：“。”“什么，，然而他可在班里就是倒数第几名的同学啊，不可能！”“哦。”妈妈刚想相信，就来了句：“那你也每一天背十个单词和一篇作文吧。”我听了就发誓再也不理妈妈了，就气愤的吃完油条写作业去了。
但在下午，妈妈带我跟她去修眉，她走了进去，我只能坐在外面等着妈妈了。过了一会，妈妈怕我跑丢，就叫了声：“东东？”“干嘛”我无聊地说道之后，听见妈妈轻轻絮语：“哦，还在啊，没有跑丢。”我听了被感动了，没想到妈妈还这么关心我，我就把那个誓言给取消了，并再发誓每一天和妈妈快快乐乐的说笑。
我的爸爸就是一个很活跃的爸爸，他的个子并不太高，他的胡子摸起来很扎人。还还有一双水灵灵的大眼睛，但一笑起来，保你看不见。他还有一个高高的鼻梁，鼻子下面有一张不爱说话的嘴巴，你明白为什么说我的爸爸很活跃吗？一就是在每一天早晨，他总要和我去打羽毛球，而且我的羽毛球的技术就是他传授给我的。二就是我的爸爸还会跳街舞，但就是我不会，他经常给我表演。
我最喜欢我小天地，那就就是我的卧室了。我趁爸爸妈妈睡着的时候，然而我就在里面唱歌跳舞，我放声歌唱《大笑江湖》每次都差点把他们吵醒，但就是，我从不灰心，如果被他们发现，走后我就把小狗招来，把它抱到床上一齐玩。如果小狗实在困的不行了就把自己以前学过的课本找出来看看。结果经常看着看着就睡着了。
我爱我家，因为家里有关心我的妈妈，有活跃的爸爸，还有我好玩的小天地。

Dear Family,
You must be greatly surprised when you get this letter, not from anyone else but from your dearest son, since I have never written a letter for ages in such a traditional way. The purpose of my writing is not so much to express my gratitude for bringing me up, as it is to tell you something about my college life.
It has been more than two years since I started my college life and I have adapted myself to the new environment here, even though at the very beginning, I was not quite used to it. My classmates are pretty friendly and they offer to help me whenever need be, which is really precious for me. My teachers tell me the differences between college life and high school life and give me some necessary advice on how to learn in college. Because of their kind-hearted help, I learn to know the importance of cooperation and communications between each other, especially when in Group work.
In the past several months, I have been busy preparing for TEM 4.Therefore, most of the time, I stayed at school and seldom kept in touch with you; I should have been ashamed of this. But now it is completely finished, and I will never do that again. In my spare time, I usually go to play basketball to keep fit since you always ask me to practice more to keep healthy. What is more, I like to go to the English Corner to practice my spoken English in order to improve my oral English level, which is of importance as English major.
Finally, I would like to specially thank you for providing me the best education and experience. Without your support and understanding, it wouldn't be the same. In regard to the future, I will make every effort to study for my degree and make the dreams I had envisioned come true.
