我就是这样一个幸福的人，在善良和坚强的父母呵护下快乐成长，在无私的老师和纯真的同学的陪伴下认真学习，在为改善西部教育而默默付出的格桑花西部助学的大爱下顺利完成学业，在充满爱心与强烈责任感的马校长关心下，我来到了美丽、“善良”的湖小；通过马校长介绍，学生和家长赞扬湖小的口碑中，得知湖小优质的教学、老师的睿智和学生的聪慧，从温暖的红色和冷静的蓝色化合而成的紫色湖小主页，了解到奚校长的高尚人格和为学校“向善，扬善”而作出的努力及获得的荣誉和湖小将“善”作为灵魂，将我这个来自落后西部的老师深深震撼。
当第一次走进湖小北校区时，处处呈现出育人和艺术氛围的'殿堂：清华园、哈佛园、园园盛名；书香楼，艺韵楼，楼楼璀璨；兴海路，海粟路，路路激人。每到一处，都使我赏心悦目，让我流连忘返。精致、合理的校园布局及优美的教学环境，当中无不展现浓郁的文化气息；“向善，扬善”的文化的理念，和为人处事以善作为行为准则的我与之深深的交汇；至善至美的湖小是我梦中的地方是我心灵的家。
来到湖小的这几天，老师们，在工作中给予的极大的帮助和指导，在生活上给予无私的照顾，尤其吴华英老师尽心的指导和周末都不忘关心；学生们给予的信任和尊重；门卫等工作人员给予的亲切问候和关心，使我这个来自遥远
