很多家长，尤其是初次为人父母的家长，经常会为了以上这些问题到处“寻方问药”，可是，如今的育儿市场真可谓是五花八门、鱼龙混杂，实在让人眼花缭乱、难分真假：
有的是卖品牌，只要是略有名气的早教机构，课程基本都是都是万元起跳；
有的是卖概念，用诸如“右脑开发”“全脑记忆”等听起来比较高大上的新词热词来吸引家长的注意力，并取得其信任；
还有一种比较腹黑的，就是卖焦虑，四处摇旗呐喊“绝对不能让孩子输在起跑线上”，从而引发家长们的各种恐慌，继而慷慨解囊。
琳琅满目的教育产品究竟有多少是货真价实我们无从得知，但有一点可以确定的是，随着计划生育政策的逐步放开以及居民收入水平的不断提高，新一代的宝爸宝妈们对于孩子教育的投入只会增加不会减少。
对于这个问题，本书的作者魏坤琳教授指出，基于认知科学、面向未来的教育，才是给孩子最好的投资，因为孩子需要的不是现在学校看重的技能，而是未来世界需要的能力。如果给宝宝灌输知识或技能，知识或技能会陈旧。比如，我们过去常常说“学好数理化走遍全天下”，可是仔细想想，有多少人是用学校学到的知识来开展工作？用了四年甚至更多时间所学的的专业，有多少人毕业后还在从事相关工作？2016年，世界经济论坛上有篇文章指出，当今天这一代小学生走上工作岗位的时候，现今65%以上的工种将不复存在面对如此飞速发展的时代，想通过传统教育“押题”孩子的未来，风险太大，也不可行。
传统教育，注重对知识存量的学习，面向的是过去，而真正有竞争能力的人，需要有适应未来的能力，就是无论世界如何变化，他都能应对自如、把握人生。
所以宝爸宝妈们需要或多或少懂一点大脑发育的规律，全方位助力宝宝大脑发展，着力培养孩子“通用”的学习能力，比如好奇心、求知欲、批判性思维、逻辑性思维和解决问题能力等等，因为这些才是他们面向未来的核心竞争力。

summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

前段时间在王校长的带领下，我有幸拜读了魏坤琳教授写的《给孩子的未来脑计划》一书。王校长给我们建立读书群，让我们快速阅读并每天打卡。一个星期读完一本书，对许多老师的阅读兴趣和阅读习惯的形成都有了直接的影响。以至于第一次读完后，我又赶紧买来新书开始了第二次的仔细研读。读完还把此书借给姐姐阅读，并推荐给了两个好朋友。
因为此书的教育会对孩子产生长远的影响。书中魏教授把大脑发展的能力归结为智力脑、情绪脑、运动脑、语言脑、创意脑五个方面。教我们如何根据孩子大脑发育规律，发展孩子相应的能力，这不仅仅是一本科学靠谱的育儿书，也是一本脑科学的科普书。这几乎涵盖了未来孩子适应社会所需要的一切能力，其中的第二部分和第四部分让我受益匪浅。
