通过这两个故事，可以看出古代是以孝为主，俗话说得好：百善孝为先。从芦衣顺母这个故事中可以看出，即使没有缘关系的亲人，也应该互帮互助。从埋儿奉母这个故事中我们可以看出，在古代有些孝子为了父母宁愿牺牲自己的.子女，这种精神太伟大了。在我们这个时代，一些有些人表面上很孝顺父母，实际上是让父母住在地下室，车库，真是知人知面不知心啊！儿时的人们是父母的掌上明珠，含在嘴里怕化了，放在手上怕摔了。天天守在你的身边。现在，有些人半年都不回家一次，只有过年才回去住几天。还有一些人，一点也不关心父母。

曾经有个栏目做了一个非常有意义的调查：请问，你是否知道父母生日？10个小时内，有1840人投票，其中回答知道的有1274票占69.24%；都不知道的有338票占18.37%；知道父母中一位的有228票占12.39%。说实话，看了这些数据，实在是有些刺眼，实在令人担忧。

目前我国城乡空巢家庭超过50%，部分大中城市达到70%，农村留守老人约4000万，占农村老年人口的30%，城乡家庭养老条件明显缺失。
