我出生在农村，从小有点娇生惯养，养成了很多坏毛病，尤其是家务之类懒得做。后来一路读书，离家越来越远，有些事情不得不亲自动手，比方说洗碗、洗衣服之类。我觉得，但凡懒人，其缺点是不爱动手，其优点是喜欢思考，积极寻找解决问题的捷径。
从初中开始我就住校了，所以吃饭的碗必须自己洗。可那时没有洗洁精，也没有餐巾纸，打热水又要排长队，怎么办？我首先撕作业本上的白纸洗碗，感觉吸油性还可以，后来发现长期这样不行。正好从教室到食堂要经过一块菜地，菜地里有很多又大又粗的南瓜叶，于是我决定用其一试，不想效果奇好。接点冷水，用调羹按住南瓜叶在碗里转几圈，又干净又快速，还不用弄脏手。开始的时候，只有我一个人这样做，慢慢地就传开了；开始的时候，只用南瓜叶，慢慢地其他菜叶也用上了，最终导致全校的菜地遭了殃，也许这就是技术进步的副作用吧。
后来读大学，因为爱运动出汗多，衣服要经常洗，毕竟是大人了，得注意卫生、顾及面子，尤其不能让女同学笑话。可洗衣服也是件麻烦事，怎么办？不知那时候有没有洗衣机，反正我没见过，但我的方法和后来洗衣机的原理如出一辙。我首先把衣服放到桶里，撒上洗衣粉，用水浸泡好，然后就去和同学玩了。玩了回来，我就开始用脚踩衣服，踩几分钟，冲洗几次，拧干晾好，任务就完成了，真正动手动脚的时间，前后不到十分钟。和那些一直坐在凳子上，一件一件从头洗到尾的同学比，不知道要潇洒多少倍。我的这个方法，先是在本寝室推广，后来整个宿舍楼的同学都用上了。其中一个有音乐天分的.同学还以此为素材创作了一首“洗衣歌”，将劳动之美升华到了艺术的高度。
成家之后我才发现，一个农村出来的人找一个城市出来的人做老婆真是麻烦不断，而且这麻烦远不象读书时碰到的麻烦那么容易解决。按照社会发展的一般规律，城市文明于农村，乡下人应该向城里人看齐，但理论上的东西一旦用于实践，经常会矛盾重重。两口子生活在一起没过多久，老婆就着手对我的坏毛病进行全面深化改革。首先是吃饭，必须细嚼慢咽、先客后主、使用公筷等等；其次是洗衣服，内衣外衣要分开洗、深色浅色要分开洗等等。我当然不能说这样做不对，但总觉得没必要太讲究。我的理由很充分：在乡下的时候，一大家子稀里糊涂一起吃饭一起洗衣服，不是也挺健康、挺长寿吗？但老婆这个角色往往是不讲道理的，她需要的或者说喜欢的就是无条件执行命令。刚开始，还和她斗争一番，后来发现没有什么实际意义，为了维护安定团结的家庭局面，我只好忍辱负重。还别说，当自己慢慢习惯了老婆的三规六矩之后，感觉还挺享受，或许这就是文明的力量。
尽管如此，但我还是不想做得太完美。其中方法之一就是经常犯一些小错误，暴露一些小缺点，以此换来老婆的批评甚至“撤职”、“下岗”。就说洗青菜吧，为了让老婆觉得干净，我拧小水龙头，用流水一条一条慢慢洗，这副德行，老婆当然看不下去了，叫我滚一边凉快去。再说洗碗吧，我知道洗完之后老婆总要过来检查，就故意留一点污渍。这样几次三番之后，我最讨厌的洗碗之事就基本告别了。
好好想一想，老婆也不容易，同样上班挣钱，回到家了还有一堆家务，所以有时候她心里有点怨气、顺便发点脾气也是很正常的。我觉得，一个男人尤其是在老婆面前，完全可以傻一点、懒一点，这样就能衬托出老婆的聪明和勤快乃至重要性来，从而达到让她高兴的目的。就像我，一个爷们难道真的洗不了几个碗吗？但知道老婆出差要回来了，故意留的，给她创造一个骂人的机会。因为我心里明白，就算我把碗洗了，她也会从其他地方挑出一些毛病来。
“打是亲，骂是爱，不打不骂散得快。”这是农村老家的俗话，作为源远流长的传统文化，我觉得不仅富含哲理，而且日久弥新。夫妻生活在一起毕竟是漫长而复杂的，如何和谐相处，其实既是一门技术活，也是一门艺术活。

for what i said above, we can find some eamples of our fellow-students studying abroad. all young men do housework as girls do. someone would argue that we can employ servants. this is true. however, what shall we do if the servant leaves us and all things are left to ourselves? we just cannot leave our clothes as they are and let worms and ants eat them up. and what can we do it we go and study in a foreign country where servants are out our means to employ? we must work for ourselves. why not start to learn to do housework now or else it will be too late? everyone should learn to do housework. what do you think about my idea, boys and girls?
