当为官仅七十多天的陶渊明挂印田园归隐山间时，他改变了自己。官场的黑暗，是他无法改变的，变的只能是自己。于是不为五斗米折腰，与菊为伴，虽然仕途不复，但他高洁的志向却被历史所赏识，为后人所铭记。当“御用文人”李白呼唤自己放养于青崖间的白鹿即骑访名山时，他改变了自己。朝廷希望他吟风弄月歌功颂德，而他却只想一展鸿鹄之志，无法改变官场的他，只得改变自己的志向。于是寄情于山水，纵览名山大川，虽然未能圆自己的经天纬地之梦，但却造就了半个诗歌的盛唐，为后人所传颂。他们改变自己，同时也改变了时代，虽不被时人钦慕，但却被后人铭记，在历史的苍穹中闪闪发光。

说到环境，我们很自然地想到物质环境的创设：墙面布置、材料投放等等。在开展主题活动时，环境的作用更为重要。我们觉得，环境应该更多地体现互动性，让小朋友与材料互动、与老师互动、与同伴互动，这样的环境才是“活环境”，才能更好地发挥教育作用。
“动物”主题开展时，小朋友对动物进行了简单的分类，他们根据自己的经验和获得的知识，把动物分成：天上的、地上的、水里的动物；两条腿和四条腿的动物等等。而我也按照习惯做法，把相关的小朋友的作品张贴上墙，完成了环境的布置。但是，渐渐地我发现，小朋友不再关注这些环境，也无法与之产生进一步的互动，这是一个“环境”，仅仅停留在观赏的阶段而已，没有更大的价值。
那么，怎样才能让环境“活”起来呢？如何让幼儿与环境产生互动呢？我们又进行了新的尝试。我们在区角中投放了许多手工制作的'材料，小朋友很感兴趣，陆续做了许多小动物，但是，放在哪里好呢？如果堆在桌子上，会影响小朋友的活动，而且，小朋友提出各种动物放在一起也不合适。于是，搭建一个动物园的设想提出来了。我们和小朋友一起把各种废旧的包装盒连在一起作围墙和大门，在教室门口搭建了一个“动物乐园”，小朋友可以随时将自己制作的美工作品和家里带来的长毛绒玩具摆放到“动物乐园”里面去，同时，要考虑怎么放、放在哪里更合适？就在小朋友和老师的共同努力下，小动物们有了自己的家，环境也逐步丰富起来。在这个过程中，小朋友可以不受时间的限制，自主地与材料产生互动，与同伴产生互动，与环境产生互动，他们始终积极地参与。这样的环境才是“活的环境”，可以让小朋友产生进一步探究的愿望，满足他们不同层次的需求。
通过“动物”主题的尝试，我们积累了有益的经验，也使我们在开展其他主题活动时更有信心了。
